Chapter 7

Weeks have past now and I still haven't gotten the answers I needed. I still don't know what 'Laura' looks like, I don't know her story and I'm not getting the full explanation on why Chris and Laura broke up in the first place. Chad didn't want to talk about it anymore since he felt like he was going behind Chris's back. I'm not mad for him to do that since he wants to be a good friend and all but it would just be great if I just got the answers I needed, you know? Like, when you read a story and then the author just left you with a cliff hanger, you just have to or just want to know what happens next, right? Well that's how I'm feeling from these past weeks. Right now, I'm going to the principal's office. I don't really know why but I don't think I'm in trouble .....unless they caught me riding my skateboard in the school.

Ross:(walks in) Hi Ms. Terry

Ms. Terry: He's waiting for you Ross (Smiles)

Ross: Thanks (Smiles)

She's not really that bad actually. She's really nice. :) Anyways, let's go face the music.

Ross:(pokes his head in the office) Sir?

Principal: Have a set Ross

Ross:(sits down) Did I do something wrong sir?

Principal:(Shakes his head) Nothing at all. Straight A student, never get into trouble, very talented I heard

Ross:(Smiles a bit) Thanks sir

Principal: I hear that you want to join the wood shop

Ross:(nods) Yeah I do

Principal: Well how about joining the drama club?

Ross: What?

Principal: Your mother showed me a video of you at your last school playing Prince Charming

Ross: Well yeah but that was long ago, I don't know if I can--

Principal: Non sense, you'll be joining the drama club

Ross: But--

Principal: Follow me Ross

The principal walks out just leaving me to sit here. Ugh, why can't I just do my own thing? I have to do the same thing all over again?! My mom showed my Principal in London a video of me preforming when I was 12 years old and they loved it and just gave me the lead role without telling me. I mean, come on! Ugh, I better catch up to the Principal.

Ross:(runs off)

Principal:(standing in the theatre standing there)

Ross:(Catches up to the Principal) Woah..... you walk fast sir

Principal:(smiles) Thanks, I hike some time or another

Ross:(Smiles a bit)

Principal: Anyways, welcome to the drama club

I look and see a lot of people there but they don't really look like they want to do this. What's up with this?

Principal: Mrs. Goldfarm!

Mrs. Goldfarm:(turns around) Take 5 everyone! (walks up to them) Hello sir, what do we have here? (looks at Ross)

Ross: I guess I'm.... the new member of the drama family?

Mrs. Goldfarm:(Squeals with excitement) Ooh how exciting! (smiles big) Let me introduce you sweetie

She takes my arm and pulls me to teh front since I was at the far back entrance.

Mrs. Goldfarm: Everyone! Everyone on the stage please!

Soon almost 100 kids or so were on the stage. This stage is pretty huge.

Mrs. Goldfarm: Ross will be joining us, isn't it exciting?

I could just hear them mumbling a sarcastic 'yay'. Gee, thanks guys.

Mrs. Goldfarm: Well Ross, what would you like to do?

Ross:(shrugs) Doesn't really matter

Mrs. Goldfarm:(Smiles) How would you like to be the understudy for the lead role?

Ross: Uh... sure

Mrs. Goldfarm:(Smiles big) Great! You'll be the understudy for Jacob who's playing Prince Charming, in our show 'Cinderella' (smiles) Back to one everyone! Ross you can just sit down and read over your lines and just supervise if you want

Ross: Sure

Mrs. Goldfarm: I'll go get you that script

Principal: Well I think you got everything from here Ross

Ross:(nods) Thanks sir

Principal:(nods and walks away)

I sit down some where close to the back. A helper for Mrs. Goldfarm hands me my script and rushes off before I can say thank you to him. Hmm... must be a busy fella. Anyways, they started rehearsing and they were pretty good .... well if they had more enthusiasm. Man, where are there sprit? Suddenly, I could hear my name being called by a loud whisper from behind me. I turn around and see Chad and Chris there.

Ross:(mouths) What are you doing here?

They just ignored me and sit down next to me sliding back on their chair a bit. I decided to whisper since I didn't want them to get in trouble.

Ross: Once again, what are you doing here?!

Chris: We were looking for you and I just accidentally walked in here and saw you sitting here

Chad: What are you doing here?

Ross: I'm the new member of the drama club

Chris: Why?

Ross: Apparently my mom showed the principal the video of me doing a play at my last school and the principal just loved it that he forced me to come here

Chad: Woah

Chris: You like drama?

Ross: A little but not as much as I did before

Chad: So what's your role?

Ross: I'm the understudy of the lead role, Prince Charming

Chris: Nice man

Ross:(smiles) Thanks Chris

Okay so I'm not really that mad at Chris now since but yeah.
