三十三 [S a n - J ū S a n]

"The Hiragi House? What is that?" Mika asked.

"Explaining it would take a long time," Mitsuba said.

"I'm not interested, so don't explain...I'd like to say that. But, I can't do it. Yuu-chan."

"Yes?"

"What is the Hiragi House?"

"Dunno."

Mika gave a deadpanned look at Yuu at his answer while Yuu laughed.

"That didn't take long."

"Because he's an idiot." Mitsuba pointed out.

"At least Yuu doesn't mind being an idiot. And it doesn't bother me either." Mika said.

"Ah, you are cruel," Yuu spoke.

"It's the truth." Mika shrugged. "Even so, if it becomes a dangerous situation, I will use all of my power."

"Mika, remember that you will lead our companions."

"I think it's not a good plan."

I shifted my gaze to the side where I then saw Aoi. She walks towards Guren as they both begin talking. I stood with Mitsuba and Shinoa since I clearly wasn't interested in the place.

"Mitsuba, I see you're alive."

"Ah, sister-" Mitsuba says and turns around but stops when she is face-to-face with Aoi's face.

"There is no place for traitors here, so how is it you're not dead?" Aoi asked as she wrapped her hand around Mitsuba's neck. "Do you have no shame?"

Mitsuba looks at Aoi, horrified as she continues to choke Mitsuba.

"What are you doing?" Yuu asked, putting his hand on Aoi's arm.

"Yuu, it's okay. Don't interfere."

"Mitsuba's not your sister?" Yuu asked.

Aoi slapped Yuu's hand away as she tells him that she doesn't want a traitorous sister. Yuu retorts as he says that Mitsuba was not a traitor, adding the fact that Aoi tried to kill us.

"And what? You were the ones who betrayed us. Because of the Hiragi House, the Sangu House will give life, we will sacrifice our lives for the cause. Isn't that right Mitsuba?"

"...That's right."

"You're wrong!" Yuu shouted.

"Still alive? It shouldn't be like that. After disobeying the orders, you killed your companions, escaped the cause and survived. Are you worthy enough to live?"

Mitsuba still didn't know what to respond with, which caused Yuu to further defend her.

"Are you kidding me? Of course, it's worth it!"

"Shut your mouth stranger."

"Then how about I say it? After all, I'm from the Hiragi House am I not?" I asked, stepping into the conversation.

"You're another traitor. You're just as low as them." Aoi said.

I smirked as I bent down to her height, "Oh? And you act as if you haven't done the same? Are you sure you haven't killed your companions? I can always check y'know."

She glared at me as I stood straight. "I still can't believe you have a crush on that brother of mine."

"Do not speak of Kureto-sama like that or-"

"Or what? You'll kill me?" I asked and laughed. "You can't kill me. You'll die in the first second anyways."

I then glared at Aoi as my smirk dropped. "To think that Mitsuba has you as her older sister. Truly disappointed in you as an older sister to another."

"What are you guys doing? Let's go, Kureto Hiragi awaits us." Guren spoke up from behind us.

"Kureto is waiting for us. Maybe I should kill him while I'm there right?" I chuckled as I saw her jaw and fists clenched.

"Come on in you brats," Guren said and pulled me away from Aoi.

I gave her another smirk before turning back to the front. Mitsuba walked up towards me as she gently poked my arm.

I let go of Guren as I now paid all of my attention to Mitsuba.

"(Y/n)-san...I want to thank you for defending me. But you really didn't have to." She mumbled and fiddled around with her fingers.

I smiled as I patted her head, "I will defend you regardless of not having to. You are my family and I protect my family."

She smiled and wrapped her arms around my waist, hugging me. I smiled and hugged her back, giving her the love an older sister would. She then walked towards Yuu as I assumed she was going to thank him too.

I fastened my pace as I walked towards Guren and Shinya, passing by Mika and Shinoa and heard their conversation.

"The Hiragis, they have been like this for hundreds of years," Shinoa informed.

"...Are you familiar with them?" Mika asked.

"I and (Y/n) were born in the Hiragi House."

"Eh...I'm not interested." Shinoa laughed at Mika's statement.

"But, I think it's better to know more about you. Vampires also say that the JIDA is one of the worst organisations of humanity."

"The Hiragi's also controlled that organisation," Shinoa added.

Mika stayed silent and looked up at the big door that now stood in front of us. The guard in front of the door then spoke up.

"Kureto is waiting for you behind the site of the experiment. Only these people can pass. Guren Ichinose, (Y/n) Hiragi, Shinya Hiragi and Shinoa Hiragi."

I groaned when my name was called out.

"We have prepared another room for the others." The guard informed.

"Ah, I really didn't want to see him," I grumbled as I stood between Shinya and Guren.

"You're basically his twin." Guren joked and I made a puking face.

The doors opened as we then walked in, Shinoa walking in between me and Shinya.

"But I guess I can tease him right?" I asked with a smirk.

Shinya giggled as he rolled his eyes at me, "You and your love-hate relationship with Kureto."

"No. It's entirely a hate-hate relationship. He hates my guts and I hate his so we're even." I said and shrugged my shoulders.

We soon arrived at the meeting spot and my smirk grew wider. I took a step towards Kureto as he then looked at me.

"Hey there Kureto. Did you miss me?"

[a/n: i'm actually catching up to the manga faster than i thought so when i do reach the latest chapter, please expect it to take like months to update again.

like the next chapter is january 6, so you can see it takes more than a month. so yeah, it's going to be some time until i update again once i reach chapter 97.
