十八 [J ū H a c h i]

"Mika!" I quickly shouted and pointed to Yuu.

He quickly ran there, using his own sword to deflect Guren's sword.

"Good thing I didn't believe in humans," Mika said as he looked up at Guren.

"Move out of my way, vampire!" Guren shouted and pushed Mika into Yuu, causing the latter to fall.

Mika and Guren quickly engage in a fight, their swords slashing against each other. I ran towards Yuu with Shinoa's squad and Narumi.

"Yuu, are you okay?" I asked as I looked at him softly.

He gave me a quick smile as he stood up, "I'm okay. But Guren..."

"What's going on?" Mitsuba asked as she looked at Guren.

"Hey, hey! Where's the strength you had in Shinjuku?" Guren asked as he ran towards Mika, his sword pushing against Mika's once more.

Mika was suddenly kicked towards Yuu, where unfortunately both of them were knocked down to the ground.

"Guren!" Kureto shouted. "Let's start." 

Guren looked down at his sword where it then changed colour after he mumbled to it.

"Hey, Guren! What's going on with you? What are you doing?" Yuu asked as he and Mika recovered.

"Seraph of the End," Guren answered before running towards the vampires and our soldiers. He slashes each one in his way, regardless they were soldiers or vampires. I gasped as I felt my heart drop.

"Guren..." I mumbled, suddenly feeling my legs going weak.

Kimizuki quickly caught me before I fell to the ground, him also watching how Guren ruthlessly killed them.

The rods each pierced the bodies Guren had dealt with, their blood making the rods go from black to red. The crate explodes and the wind sweeps back almost everyone.

I slowly walked over to Shinoa, placing my hand on her shoulder as we all looked up at the source of the bright light.

"What's going on?" Yoichi asked as he stood next to Shinoa.

The source of the light was a sphere that resembled wings. The wings separated as it then revealed a girl and not just any girl. It was Mirai, Kimizuki's little sister.

"Hideous humans, your time ends now," Mirai said as she then summoned a trumpet.

She leaned forward, blowing into the trumpet and a bellowing sound sweeps over the battlefield. The landscape suddenly changes, cracks appearing in the ground and causes one side to be higher than the other. Spikes emerging from the ground while everything seemed to be a shade of red.

In the middle, the sky was bright——just like how it was before I lost control.

The spell tags that was connected to the sceptres chained Mirai and a sphere appears around her.

"What...What are you guys doing to my little sister?!" Kimizuki shouted as he started running towards them only to be stopped by Guren.

My eyes widened as I witness Guren stab Kimizuki at his stomach. "Don't move kid."

"W-What are you doing?!" Yuu shouted as he ran towards Guren, swinging his sword in an attempt to hurt Guren.

He quickly avoids it by jumping back but Yuu only runs up to him again and clashes his sword with Guren's. Mika backs him up as he appears behind Guren, thrusting his sword to the front which Guren blocked.
