"Guren, how is Yuu?"

Guren stopped in his tracks and turned around to face me, "He's still in school. I'm not letting him advance until he makes a friend or girlfriend."

"A friend is understandable but girlfriend? Guren, how could Yuu love anyone now?" I asked and he chuckled at my response.

"Just wanted to see if he was actually going to get a girlfriend."

"He's all grown up now. I miss those days he would stick to me and not you." I said and stuck out my tongue at him.

"What can I say? His 'mother' is too lenient on him."

"Are you saying I am not strict enough on the boy?"

Guren only shrugged his shoulders in response, a playful grin on his face.

"Oh, but he hasn't seen me fight. If he did, he'd want me to teach him and not you." I grinned.

"Tch," Guren said and looked away in annoyance.

"Anyways, is Yuu going to get a cursed weapon in the Black Demon Series?" I asked and the both of us continued walking outside the walls.

"Most probably. Well, that is, if he makes a friend of course."

We unsheathed our swords as we detected the presence of vampires.

"Half mine half yours?" He suggested.

"Sure. Let's see who can defeat them faster." I smirked and pointed my sword up into the air in the direction of the vampires.

"Destroy, Shiraki."

The black swirls engulfed the vampires and I could hear them trying to get out. But in just a second, all of them were dead and their cloaks fell to the floor.

"Done," I said and just a second later, Guren defeated his vampire half.

"As expected." He said and we both then started making our way to the building.

"Lieutenant Colonel Guren! A vampire has escaped from the biology research facility near the school!" A soldier reported the moment we stepped in.

"Is my squad ready?"

"Yes sir, they are waiting for your commands." Guren nodded his head before dismissing the soldier.

"Yuu can handle himself right?" I asked as I was worried for him.

"Of course, he is our favourite after all." Guren grinned.

"Tch, go away. Go defeat that vampire." I said and pushed Guren away.

"I'll come to see you in your office then!" He shouted and walked away.

I closed the door behind me and sat down in my chair. I closed my eyes as I felt that Shiraki wanted to talk to me.
