"Good morning Major General (Y/n)." A soldier greeted me as I walked past him and gave him a slight nod.

"(Y/n)~!"

"Shinya, hello," I said after turning around to meet the owner of the voice.

"I've missed you so much~!" Shinya gleed and immediately engulfed me in a hug.

"Missed you to brother," I answered with a smile, hugging him back.

"Have you reported to Kureto?" He asked once we had separated from the hug.

I laughed as I crossed my arms, "I'm afraid not. I'm too scared to meet him for patrol."

"Well, you are the only person who can rival him." Shinya retorted with a grin.

Shinya chuckled and then patted my head, "You may be younger than me but you are definitely stronger than me. Scratch that, you're stronger than anyone here."

"Stop it. I'm not strong." I puffed my cheeks out to avoid blushing from embarrassment. "I won't be surprised if he tries to kill me since I'm as strong as him."

Shinya sighed before looking at me in the eyes, "Depend on me, on others to fight with you. Being the strongest doesn't mean you have to fight alone."

I smiled and placed a hand on his shoulder for reassurance, "I will Shinya. Now if you'll excuse me, I would like to go to my room now."

I waved to him and turned around, making my way to my bedroom. I sighed and turned the doorknob of my room. Seeing my bed the same way as I left it, all neat and tidy. I closed the door behind me and walked to my balcony.

"It's beautiful," I muttered, looking at the sky as the sun began to rise.

It was morning and I'd just returned from my patrol. I was actually surprised to have met Shinya that early in the day but it would be inevitable anyways. We're family, we'd always see each other.

I gripped the necklace that hung around my neck. A necklace that had been with me for as long as I could remember. A simple pair of wings in [f/c], which to me resembled angel wings.

I am incapable of remembering anything from my childhood. The earliest thing in mind was just me meeting him, Tenri Hiragi.

A small groan left my lips as I regained consciousness. Where was I? I couldn't remember how I'd gotten here.

I turned my head around, trying to figure out where I was. I was surrounded by trees, but they looked dead. There were no leaves on the branches.

Just then, I heard the sound of footsteps approaching. My senses heightened as I was on full alert.

"I've found you at last. Following the prophecy was not a waste after all."

I turned my head and saw a man with ashen hair and his right eye covered with a black patch. There were a few men behind him, which I assumed, served him.

"I'm Tenri Hiragi, the one who will be taking care of you now." The man spoke as he knelt on one knee to be at the same eye level as me.

I slowly backed away, still unassured at his presence. With a shaky voice, I asked, "Where am I?"

"In a forest. Our current position is not that far from the base. It's best if we start making our way now, you're freezing." He pointed out and I looked down at myself.

My body was shaking and small puffs of air left my mouth in the cold winter. My feet were red from the cold snow.

Tenri nodded his head as he signaled towards his soldiers. One of them came up to me and placed a blanket over my shoulders. He helped me stand and I thanked him.
