"What happened to Y/n?!" Midas asked, pure panic taking over his body.

"Relax, she's fine physically," Oro chuckled slightly, "Mentally is another story. She isn't taking too well to being the leader of Ghost."

"Oh God," Midas sighed heavily, running his fingers through his already messed up dark brown hair, "I fucked up. I fucked up so bad, didn't I? I didn't think... I didn't think she'd struggle this bad."

"How were you to know you were going to get murdered as an act of revenge?" Oro smirked, crossing his arms. Midas rolled his eyes, "Shut up. Not the time for jokes, I need to get back to her." He tugged on his hair slightly as he stressed about it, beginning to pace.

Oro huffed, "You have a choice, you know. The longer you stay here the more time passes down on the island. So I suggest you don't waste more time."

"You're kidding me!" Midas groaned, growing more anxious. "I have to get back there."

"Then go," Oro responded, pressing his boney fingers to Midas' forehead, "Leave. Go back to her, and save the island. Get your revenge."

Midas slowly felt himself grow unconscious from his touch, falling back onto the golden floor as he fell out of Oro's golden castle right back to earth.

"I brought you somewhere else. I figured it would be nicer than having to unbury yourself alive. And... you are not alone."

Midas instantly shot up and breathed in and out heavily, feeling like he had run a mile. He sat up and groaned, his body feeling stiff, "Shit," he groaned, rubbing the back of his neck. He looked around and felt his heart sink, "Where the hell-?"

Midas stood up, staggering backwards as he looked around in surprise. He was on a small island and he immediately recognized it - it was the island just south-east of the Shark. He let out a heavy sigh of frustration as he realized he'd have to swim all the way to the Shark - if he was lucky enough to swim that far with how badly banged up he felt.

"Σκατά," Midas cussed under his breath, "There's no way in Hell I'll be able to get over there in one piece and fast." He turned and immediately stiffened, seeing a large shark make his way towards him. "You've got to be fucking kidding me," he spat, gripping his golden pistols and glaring at the beast. The shark slithered it's way closer to Midas and Midas took a step back in intimidation, cocking his pistols, "Don't you fucking dare."

This is bullshit.

--------------------

Five months had passed since Midas had died. Every day was a struggle. Living in the grand halls of the Agency didn't feel right without Midas, especially since only Maya, Y/n, and now Meowscles lived there.

For the first month, Y/n found it hard to even get out of bed in the morning. The second month was slightly easier, her only motivation being the good of the island and now her Agents.

There was one thing she was certain of - if she could, she would slap the living hell out of Midas for leaving her of all people in charge of the Agency. Thankfully she had Meowscles there, now her bodyguard and second in command, to help guide her.

It didn't help when it came time for Midas' funeral. Barely a word was said by her unless it was needed, and the Agents practically had to force her back home in order for her to leave his statue in his honor where he was buried. Each day she would bring a single golden rose that she converted herself and laid it at the foot of his tombstone.
