A few days had passed as Y/n and Midas began to settle in with Skye at the Shark. Midas felt very strange living in a room that wasn't his, but Y/n helped him adjust fairly quickly to it.

Midas spent the majority of his time in Skye's office, which she was more than happy to lend to Midas for the time being. It meant more time for her to game in her room, anyway.

As he spent countless hours researching any possible location for Chaos Agent, the days droned on and he began to lose hope of getting revenge. Y/n had entered his office to bring him lunch, when he angrily growled and slammed down on the desk, "Motherfucker doesn't stay in place for one God damn day, does he?" Midas snapped.

Y/n jumped in surprise and nearly dropped the tray of food, her eyes widening, "God, Midas! Keep banging like that and you're going to dent the desk..." she muttered, setting the tray down.

He grunted in response, shaking his head as he readjusted the newly a-skewed items on his desk, "Already have."

Y/n frowned, walking behind him and resting her hands across his shoulders. He let out a soft sigh as he leaned his head back, closing his eyes as she began to knead at his aching muscles.

"You're so tense, handsome," she sighed, "you need a break."

"I can't," he replied, fighting back a sigh, "he's too dangerous. If he's left out alone for much longer, God knows what he'll do. We can't let him gain the upper hand again. He's on the run," Midas explained.

"I know all of that, babe. But that doesn't excuse the fact youre overworking yourself," she frowned. "You still need to rest up... your bruises are only getting darker, and I am not about to bring you back to the hospital for a sprained wrist from you typing too much."

"Y/n, you know i love you. But please darling, stop worrying, I'm fine," Midas chuckled, opening his eyes to look up at her. She sighed and leans down to kiss his forehead softly, "I just need reassurance that you won't get hurt again, that's all. It's stupid, I know. But you're the Boss."

Midas smirked slyly hearing that, turning back to face the computer as she moved back to the tray on the table beside him. "Skye ordered sandwiches, by the way. I got your favorite," she smiled, setting the tray beside him.

Midas turned to look at the tray of food, then back up at his all too caring lover, "Doll, you didn't have to-"

"I had to," she winked, kissing his cheek, "I want my man happy, feeling good, fed and feeling pleasured always."

"If this search continues the way it does, I can almost promise you I'll need that pleasuring later on, sweetheart," Midas looked up at her, fighting back a smirk.

A dark blush crept up onto her cheeks, even though she knew full well it was simply a joke. Maybe. When it came to sex with Midas, she could never tell. Midas laughed at her shy expression, "Still so shy, yet still so naughty deep down..."

"You have to eat!" she squealed, holding her face from deeper embarrassment. "I will, and am," he pulls the wrapper off, taking a bite, "See? Eating," he replied, shrugging. She let out a small sigh seeing him eat and nodded, "Good. I don't want a hangry Midas. that Midas is scary." she kissed his nose and began to walk off.

"Oh, Y/n? Before you go," Midas called out to her. Y/n turned on her heel, crossing her arms, "What's up, babe?"

He looked down at his desk for a moment, "What if... what if I told you I didn't want to kill Chaos Agent anymore?"

Y/n couldn't help but feel a little shocked - a few days ago, he wanted him dead for his crimes. And now suddenly he feels the exact other side of it. What was going on in his mind?
