N/p: Lady Antebellum - Just A Kiss

"And how can I marry when my groom to be, married someone else?"

         Word by word rang on Brent Sui's head as he stared at the sleeping Lissana beside him.

He was a bit amazed at the calmness of Lissana that even in the middle of apocalypse, she can still get some sleep.

"Don't stare at me. Get yourself some sleep", Lissana said opening her clear caramel eyes. Some strands of her golden locks of hair fall on her cheek as her eyes met with Brent's eyes.

Brent gasped as he look away from her and stared at the other direction. He want to hit himself for clearly cheating his wife by just looking at this woman.

"I can't sleep. What if the barrier you made are weak for the level 5 zombies?"

Lissana wanted to roll her eyes but she cannot. She believe that this man wouldn't believe her that she's far ahead leveled than any zombies in this world. After all,  she already mastered water element in being Queen Fairy and Air element in the cultivation world.

"If you can't sleep then let me sleep. You're disturbing my sleep by just staring at me"

"Is that a compliment?"

"No. It's my body's defense mechanism", she said in flat tone. Since the apocalyse the original Lissana became a very light sleeper. Even a stare can awake the senses in her, that is shield she made. And she can't hate this part of Lissana because this is the biggest reason why Lissana is still alive.

She smiled inside her head when she open her space to see other unfamiliar items. Lissana must be a space ability user, which she got lucky this time because she didn't choose the space ability to expand hers.

Smiling inside, she didn't notice the pity look from Brent's eyes as he stares again at her. He think that since the apocalypse begun everyone is having a hard time.

Again he felt something familiar feeling within him as he gaze at Lissana but he can't put a name into it.

When their eyes met just this morning, he thought that he's saw Susan once again but that was just a fleeting moment before he saw her clear eyes. Susan's eyes held endless coldness and deep mysteriousness but Lissana's eyes tells different. Even she always portrays a stoic face, her eyes betray her this morning. He saw sadness and at the same time loneliness, something that is new to him since the day he met her when they were kids.

"Don't think too much and sleep. Trouble are still lurking whether you sleep or not. So why not take it for tomorrow?" she mumbles as she let him face her back. She avoid his stares to hide the sorrow she felt when she think of him being alone in this world to bear those pain.

"You're really different than her", Brent concludesthe difference between the two women. Lissana's heart tighten as a genuine sad smile cross on her lips that the former missed to witness.

"Everyone is different to one another. Even the same person of her past, present and future self are different to each other. The past self can holds something the future self doesn't have and the present person could have more experience than past self. And light could be seen in the future self's eyes that can't be seen in the present self"

Brent laugh without humor. "You're crazy"

"And you're a fool", Lissana said staring the endless sky from the reflection of water.

She's talking about herself. When she first take this world hopping, all she think about is to live. She doesn't care how, as long as she can get her revenge. Now, she doesn't want any of it. All she wanted is to be with him and meet the true him in that world.

Crazy may it sounds, but he really got into her system like air to those living. She can't live without him. When she face again that man on this world. He's breathing steadily as he went to his dreamland. Lissana gasped when his arms went to her waist and pulled her closer to him. Their face are only inches away from each other and even after coming back from being zombie, he still had that scent that could brought comfort to her.

Thank you for coming to me. I know you can't recognized the Susan you know in me because I was completely different  from myself before. Before as Susan, I had you but I don't appreciate your effort to be with me and now as Lissana, I appreciate you but you had your heart on the cold and cruel me. I hope atleast, you could see the light you gave to me that differs from myself that you met. I hate to say this before but now, I can truly say this with all of my heart without remorse or doubt.

"I love you", she whisper as she planted a soft kiss on his lips. Tear fell from the corner of her eyes. She really wish, Brent could really find his happy ending in this world.
