"Is there a time that ever crossed your mind that its me who you would spent a lifetime with?" Xin Lei asked dreamily to her husband.

They are outside in their cabin, watching the sun rises from the endless horizon. The arms that held her tighten as he kisses her forehead. He sighed in relief while feeling her warmth against him.

"The time I set my eyes on you. I knew that whether I have your heart or not, that I belong to no one else but you. Not only in this lifetime but wherever you are, my heart only belongs to you. How about you? Since when did you love me? What world?" he asked. His eyes are full insecurities.

Xin Lei's eyes twinkle in happiness. "Since when? If I recall it correctly. When I was a little, I fell in love with a boy who share his small light with me in that darkness when I'm losing hopes. That boy took so much effort against the coldness in the middle of the snowfall just to send me one encouraging message using hundred of paperplanes"

His eyes widened in surprise. "You still remember that?"

Xin Lei laughs. "I still do. Clearly remember like how he wipe his reddening nose while sneezing"

"Oh dear", he groans in embarassment.

Xin Lei faced him and embrace him, clearly enjoying in listening the beating of his heart.

"That boy, he make me fall in love with him. That's why I look for him every time I got a chance but I mistake him for someone else. Someone I thought that was him, and that was the greatest mistake I ever did. I should have listen to my heart not to what my eyes sees"

He looked at her fondly. "Well its not too late, we finally had our own chance"

Xin Lei nod.

"Look, it's finally rising!" she cheered up when the red color of rising sun suddenly painted the dark horizon a new contrast of of blue, white, yellow and red.

"Its beautiful", she whisper.

He, who already watched countless sun rise alone for the past decades of his life also found it beautiful. Maybe because he was not alone anymore. That this time, he had someone by his side to appreciate the beauty of waking up.

"Yeah. Its beautiful"
