After Lissana and Nathan left, Brent suddenly felt and a big part of him that had been cut off from.
He was so drawn to Louise that only the day Lissana leave them that he felt so very wrong.
What does he not know is that the soul who resides in Louise wasn't his wife but the soul of the princess whom he loved so much in their previous timeline.
His wife's soul was tied to someone else, the person who loved her in the dark without any reservation and died protecting her without her knowledge in their first timeline. The shadow guard whom her father assigns to be with her for the rest of her life.
He was with her when she saved him. He was there when she loves him and he was there when she cried upon her father's death. But she never knew that he exist until the day he died when he used himself as a decoy to lure the enemy away from her. As she arrived safely at her husband battleground.
"I wish that in our next lifetime, I could love you freely without any restriction. Without this leash of promise to your father that I should protect you from afar and stay in the dark as much as possible", he whispers as blood pooled from his lips. His heart breaks when he saw her use herself as a shield in front of him.

"I also wish that in that lifetime you could love me too. Please? Love me too. I won't hurt you, I never will. For I'd rather die than see you die", he cried. That's when the enemy dug his sword into his heart.
He raises his hand trying to reach with his blurry vision the scene where she was held by the man she choose.
With a loud thump, he fell on the cold ground.
I wish for the next lifetime. I don't care if I lose my memories as long as I can be with her.
"Nathan, wake up", Lissana shook her husband shoulder.
"Lissana?"
"Hmm. You're having a nightmare"
Nathan hug her tight and sighed. "Yeah. That was a nightmare. I thought it would never end"
"It's okay now", Lissana hugs him back.
"Yeah. I'm okay now. Because you're here with me", and you choose me after that lifetime.
