4.4 Double Face Bishop

“Any progress young Miss?” the doctor asked after checking Luna’s eyes. She shakes her head and thanked the doctor. Leaving the clinic, she stared at the moon in the Saturday morning. Now she saw the importance of having seen the color than all seeing black and white and gray.

Her case is one out of hundred people. Thinking all by herself she bump into the female lead with a frowned at first she didn’t recognize her because she isn’t in her usual uniform. She just passed through her and walk like she just saw a stranger. At most, although female lead, still a stranger in her eyes.

“President?”

Looking up. Luna’s eyes met his eyes. Endou felt that his world stop for a second as he gaze the girl looking like an angel. Every time their eyes met, he knew that there was a thing in his past that involve with this girl but he didn’t know what is it. Is she connected to him before? Then why do he had this feeling that she distancing herself from him like he was a plague?

“Mamouro-kun.” Luna said with a smile.

“What are you doing here?” he asked as he looked above the sign hospital. Luna continue to smile as she shakes head. “I’m here to have my regular check up. How about you?”

“Same as you. You know, when I was a little. Me and my parents had an accident that’s why I don’t remember a single thing in my childhood”

“I know”, Luna whispered as he can see a glint of sadness cross in her emerald eyes. She blink twice and it was all gone. She turn her back at him as she start to walk away. “I hope you remember everything, soon”

“Wait?! Can I accompany you?” Endou asked. His ears start to become red. Luna smiled inside her mind. Now she finally placed her two bishops on the right place and she overcome the last residue of the original soul influence inside the body.

“You sure don’t have any commitment for today?”

“Yeah,”

“Okay”, she smiled and intertwined her fingers with him. “Let’s go”

“Are you bored?” Endou asked to the girl beside him. They are both looking at the star in twilight yet he knew that she was thinking otherwise.

“I was just thinking if one day my fiance’ would finally come back”

Endou felt his heart fall upon hearing Luna said. She already have a fiance? Why do life was so unfair?

“Where is he now?” he asked.

Luna smiled sadly as she looked at him. “He’s too close to me just a within arm reach but I know that he’s more than miles far away from me. We have separated lives now and maybe sooner he’ll forget my very own existence”

His heart tighten yet it bloom to a unknown feelings. At the first sight he laid his eyes on her, he wanted to claim her as his own.

As he looked at her doll eyes he can see the emptiness he always seen in them since the transfer challenge her in a contest.

“If he forgot you, I’m here to remember you all through out the day”

Luna’s sad smile become brighten. She nod and sighed. “Please don’t forget me”. They smiled at each other and look at the twilight as stars starts to appear.

Nobody can tell when the changes between the relationship of the ace soccer player and the student council president happen. It just that people can’t asked how the two best figure in the school manage to become so close. Just like a whirl wind romance that every person fantasies about.
