Lilly

It is Monday morning and I am sitting with Lucas and Tristan in the car as we go on our way to our school. It is Lucas' first time to return after a week of absence. He told me that he can return to school for a bit since the matters regarding the pack are in motion and his subordinates are more than enough to keep the pack running. Honestly, I think that he just thinks that it's troublesome and shovels everything to others.

When we arrive at the campus, Lucas takes a small black notebook from my bag. He doesn't really bring a bag so he shoved this notebook to my back earlier before we went out.

"Take this." Lucas throws the notebook to Tristan. Tristan catches the notebook and opens it. Then, he freezes.

"This.. Alpha."

"I asked this from the were-council. It came early this morning. It's on loan so study it and return it when you're mastering the contents." Lucas answers as he takes my hand and presses a kiss on my knuckles.

Notebook from the were-council? I know that the were-council maintains a library consisting of the rarest books. Each of them are considered as treasures. This book that Lucas shoved on my backpack and threw to Tristan is that kind of book?

Looking at Tristan's bewildered expression, my guess is probably true.

Tristan collects his emotions and presses the notebook on his chest, then, he does a salute.

"Yes, Alpha."

My relationship with the rest of the pack didn't change in a drastic way. Like before, I am still being ignored. Although the way they ignore me now is different from the way they did before.

Before Lucas returned, everybody ignored me with disdain. They ignored me because I am from the lowest class and some even look at me with hostility. When Lucas returned and everyone found out that I'm his mate, there was still hostility and most of them still avoided me as much as possible. It's like they are convincing themselves that I am not present near them.

One of the few changes in my life is that now, when the class is over, everyone stays put in their chair and waits for me to go out before going out. The other change is that Tristan or Ethan would sometimes come to walk me to the next class.

Personally, I like the space that they are giving me.

Right now, the morning class just finished and we are about to change classrooms. I gather my things and put them in my bag. As usual, everyone remains seated until I exit through the door. Surprisingly, my sister Analise is waiting for me by the door.

"Hey, sis! I need to talk to you." She calls unto me sweetly. Anxiousness is written all over her face. Of course, I know that it is only one of her acts. Who knows what poisonous thoughts she has in her mind right now.

I look at her and decide not to trouble myself with her drama. Hence, I walk straight and refuse to give her attention.

Her eyes widen as if she can't believe that I ignored her. Suddenly, there is a whoosh in my front and I see her kneeling in front of me.

Now what is this drama?

As expected, everyone in the hallway looked at the interesting scene.

"Sis.. Lilly. Please.. Forgive father. He's been confined for a week. Mother's getting sick from worry. Please, have pity." She pleads to me while kneeling. Tears are running down her face. She looks really pitiful.

"Lilly.. father was just worried that's why he tried to talk to you. He didn't mean to scold you about me getting hurt. We all know it was an accident." She cries pitifully. Based on how she worded it, it seems like I sent my father to the prison because he tried to scold me when I hurt my sister. Wow. Analise deserves an acting award.

Until now, she still hasn't stopped making me look evil in front of everyone.

But, do I care for what they think of me?

I am already at rock bottom. Nothing will change whatever she says.

Moreover, I know that my mate believes in me. Lucas has faith in me and has my back. He will never believe anyone over me.

But most important of all, I am the Luna.

I am their Luna.

And I can ignore them when I want to.

"I do not want to talk to her." I state. Immediately, gasps are heard everywhere. Even Analise looks confused on what I said.

"Do I need to repeat myself?" I say when nobody moved. Then, I see Ron comes from behind me. He approaches Analise and motions her to stand up.

"Ms. Elkins, Luna doesn't want to talk to you. Stand up and don't block her way." Ron says.

"Are you kidding me? That's your sister! You imprisoned your father, you hurt your sister. Now you don't dare talk to her even when she is already kneeling in front of you? " Someone exclaims from the side.

"Exactly! You just became the Luna and you already treat your family like that? What kind of Luna will you become later?" Another adds.

Impudent!

I hear a voice inside me.

Impudent lowly beings! You dare to scold your Luna?

Suddenly, my heart is filled with anger.

How dare they talk to me like that?

"So, you recognized me as your Luna, after all." I started. My fingers slightly tremble from the anger that I feel.

"Listen to me. You admit that I am your Luna, yet do you remember how everybody treated me before?" I ask them. Everyone became quiet even when the huge hallway started to become crowded.

"I was also detained. I was also physically hurt. I was also made to kneel." I say with gritted teeth and I notice Ron flinched.

"I am your Luna now, but how do you treat me? You scolded me because I denied talking to my pretentious sister?" I say softly, but I'm sure that everyone in here heard what I said.

Suddenly, a terrifying pressure came from my body. The wind starts to gather on my feet and starts flowing around everyone. After a few seconds, everybody realizes that the wind captured their bodies like heavy chains. Since all of them are in human form, they have no way of escaping my hold.

"My father was imprisoned by the order of the Alpha with an elder as a witness, yet you dare believe what she said?" I question them.

"What is a Luna to you?" I ask them and everyone just looks at me with their wide eyes.

"Today, I will tell you."

"I will hand over your punishment." I declared.

The wind starts to surround me until I am floating from the floor by two feet as everyone eyes me with fear and astonishment.
