Black Magic Doesn't Equate Evil

Lilly

The sun is shining brightly from outside and some of the rays are coming through the window.

I hear the young wolves training outside. As per Lucas' command, squads were divided into five teams. Each will have their scheduled special training.

Right now, the youngest squads are outside being trained by Annie. Since wolves are not physically matched with the "wolf-likes," they are training with weapons. So, Annie is instructing them on how to use silver spears. The wolves are carrying these spears via their mouths which are heavily padded with rubber. Each young wolf is vigorous and enthusiastic. It feels like everyone is giving their all to train in order to protect the pack.

Lucas was called early in the morning and I sneaked out and hid from him since then. Of course, he made sure that I slept in his room. Last night, he did not even move an inch even after all my objections. I know that we have spent the night together before but that was when we were in my room and not in his room. I don't know why, but spending the night in his room makes me more embarrassed than letting him stay on mine.

Fortunately, aside from Lucas, I still haven't seen any pack members around since I woke up. I get a feeling that everyone is avoiding me. I don't know if it's related to how I performed last night by controlling the wind energy.

Actually, I am secretly happy about being ignored. Everyone probably knows that I've spent the night in Lucas' room so I don't want to meet anyone. Even thinking about this now makes my cheeks involuntarily burn.

"Luna Lilly, if I may?" I hear a soothing voice calling me from the doorway. Looking at the direction, I see Alpha Sebastian with his warriors behind him.

"Alpha Sebastian. I'm sorry for last night." I remember how I put him in a compromising situation when he tried talking to me last night.

"No worries, dear. Don't mention it. I just came to ask you about something. I hope I didn't disturb your breakfast?"

"No no. Please ask ahead." I motion them to sit on the other chairs. Alpha Sebastian didn't mind the formalities and directly sat beside me. His companies remain standing though.

"I just want to ask for something, this won't take long. Actually, I heard that you could see these energies?" He asks directly.

"Yes. I think the colors I see are the same with the energies of the elements." I say and he nods in reply as if he didn't have a single doubt on my answer.

"I will have to return to my pack this afternoon. But, I need some guidance on how to instruct my pack regarding this matter. If I may be impertinent, would it be okay to ask if you can look for me and my team over here? Lucas said that not all of us can practice magic, so I want to focus on building weaponry if my warriors are not suited to control the energies. " He points to his companions. "These are my warriors and my gamma Mark."

"Ah yes. I will try if I can. Nice to meet you."I greet them sheepishly.

I'm not comfortable talking to strangers but Alpha Sebastian has given me respect all the time. I still prefer it if Lucas is present when I talk to them. However, he is busy. I can do this myself. Besides.. Am I not hiding from him right now?

I close my eyes and feel energy. Feel the wind. Be one with the wind.

Sure enough, I immediately sense the green light around me. The wind energy danced around me excitedly as it waited for my instructions.

Please, like last time, I wanna see other energies. I ask it.

Right away, wind energies started gathering at my eyes.

I open my eyes and look at Alpha Sebastian and his pack members.

Around Alpha Sebastian is a huge white light. It's not as enormous as Lucas, but it is still very impressive.

I glance at his beta and other warriors and see nothing.

What does the white light represent? I furrow my brows.

"Uhm. Around you, there's a huge amount of white light. As for the others, however, I haven't seen energies around them." I truthfully say.

"As I thought." Alpha Sebastian sighs.

"Truly, you are very much gifted. Alpha Lucas is very lucky to have such a Luna."

"Alpha Sebastian, Alpha Lucas is requesting a meeting." I hear Tristan from my behind.

"Haha! He already knew that I went to talk to Lilly? He's very attached to me huh." Alpha Sebastian laughs loudly. It seems like all the seriousness he had before are all gone.

"Alright, alright! I'll go and get away from your Luna. Thank you for helping me, Luna Lilly. I would kiss your hand but I don't want to go home with a missing arm." Alpha Sebastian says with a wink. Then, he led his pack mates out of the kitchen.

"Luna, are you eaten well?" Tristan asks. I turn around to answer Tristan but gasp when I see him.

The faint black color around him turned darker and increased in volume.

"Luna?" He asks me. Curious with the way I stare at him.

"It's nothing." I smile at him. "Tristan, around you, the black color's quality increased and it became darker." I tell him directly.

Tristan's eyes furrowed when he heard it. He looks worried and conflicted.

"What is it? Don't worry." I tell Tristan.

He seems startled at my statement and I just smile.

"You know, the color probably signifies the elements. Black color is probably related to black magic. But, you need not worry."

"If a person is evil, whatever he controls, be it fire, water or wind, nothing can stop his evilness. Nothing can stop him from using his powers to do evil. If the person is good, whatever power he holds, it will not affect his heart." I utter.

"Tristan, your heart is good so don't worry. Freely use your powers. Yielding black magic doesn't mean you'll be evil."

Tristan just stares at me for a couple of seconds before his eyes visibly grow softer. Then, his lips started forming a genuine smile.

"Thank you for your guidance, Luna. I will always keep your words to my heart." He tells me solemnly.
