Chapter 30

Iris took out the handkerchief from her bag. The weather was hot and walking outdoors brought out a bead of sweat on her forehead. She glanced at the sky and saw the sun was high despite it being early in the morning. Thus, Iris decided to stop by a cafe for a cold drink.

Standing in front of the window glass, Iris saw her reflection. She was a tall woman wearing a light blue summer dress. It was still the same her, but Iris could feel that there was something different in the way she looked. To be precise, she seemed to look more beautiful... and her body seemed to look more alluring.

Could this be.. the legendary power of love? She thought as she examined her figure. Or it's just my hubby rubbing off some of his sexiness on me.

Iris blushed at the thought of her husband. Yesterday lunch, she thankfully managed to push him away on the very last second. Otherwise, the big table would have been definitely christened by them.

Still, Elliot's wicked hands and lips made her unable to return to her office on time. Thankfully, she didn't get into trouble when she returned to her cubicle half an hour late. Instead, her co-workers even gave her curious and teasing looks. When Elliot arrived at their office a few minutes later to personally give her the bag that she left, everybody's teasing glances became worshiping stares.

It certainly made the matter even worse when Elliot looked extra sexy and he huskily told her, "You left this in my office, darling." The sensual stare he gave her blatantly suggested to everyone that they were just doing something naughty.

Moreover, when they returned at home last night... he certainly didn't.. let her off.

Iris shook her head to clean the dirty thoughts coming from her head and went inside the cafe.

"One Iced Matcha Latte, please." Iris ordered when she arrived at the counter. The cashier gave her a double look before taking her cash.

Iris didn't wait for a long time before her order arrived. However, it was in a large cup instead of a normal one that she ordered.

"Excuse me, you gave me the wrong size." She informed the cashier who just smiled and gave her a playful wink.

"Free upsize for the beautiful lady." He said.

Iria blinked twice before laughing and saying thanks. Of course, she didn't forget to give a generous tip that would cover the amount he gave to her for free.

Iris was used to this kind of situation. So, she knew that accepting it was better and easier than asking them for the change of cup.

"Does that taste good?" Iris was about to leave the cafe when she heard a beautiful voice.

She glanced at the source of the voice and saw a very beautiful lady with luscious light hair and the most tantalizing pair of green eyes. Her hair had a very light shade that it almost looked silver. The lady was quietly standing on her side but her utter elegance couldn't be contained.

Iris looked at her back to make sure that the beautiful woman wasn't talking to someone behind her.

"Yes.. it's my favorite drink." Iris smiled at the lady.

The lady smiled back and was about to say something when she was interrupted by a loud voice who said, "I also want to try that drink! I never had an iced green tea before! Plus we only have the plain yucky green tea at home. Her drink smells sweet unlike the one I had before!"

Iris looked at the young man who spoke. She didn't notice him standing there before.

He was a handsome young man with curly brown hair and green eyes. He was smiling so wide that most of his teeth were showing.

Iris blinked. Recently she had been meeting beautiful men and women left and right. However, she was weird out when he said that he could smell her drink. After all, she was standing a few feet away from him. Still, she smiled at the young man and the beautiful woman and said, "Try it. I think it's really good."

The young man almost jumped and in a blink of an eye, he was already talking to the cashier. "Sister. I want two of that drink." He said while pointing to Iris.

Unfortunately, another person was in the register and she didn't know what the young man was talking about. Thus, Iris stepped in and helped them.

"Two Iced Matcha Latte, please."

The cashier smiled and told them the amount. The young man reached out for his back pocket when he noticed something.

"Oh no." He said. His two hands started to continuously pat his backside. He was still patting his backside after almost a minute when his eyes started to blur.

Iris panicked when she saw the young man started to cry. Thus, she immediately grabbed her own wallet and paid for the drinks.

The young man's mood turned 180 degrees right away. He held her hands and gave her a worshiping look.

"Thank you.. thank you, Princess! My goddess! You saved my life! I've always wanted to try the city life and I can now try it thanks to the drink you got for me." He said.

Iris was a little stunned but at the end, she wasn't able to hold herself back and patted the young man's hair.

Suddenly, the beautiful woman said, "Ethan, it's time for you to go back."

Ethan, the young man, made a surprised face. Then, his expression looked hurt.

"But.. Alpha told me to accompany you.." He pitifully said.

"Yes, he did. Now go back." The woman said as if she didn't care about the so-called order.

Ethan blinked before he obediently nodded and said, "Okay..But you gotta help me tell Alpha.."

The beautiful woman elegantly laughed and agreed.

A few minutes later, Iris watched a dejected back leave the cafe. She unconsciously looked back at the beautiful woman just to see her looking at her with a smile.
