"Oh, Crowley! I've been waiting for you!" Ferid shouted.

The three nobles were—— Thirteenth Progenitor, Crowley Eusford, and two Seventeen Progenitors, Chess Belle and Horn Skuld.

"I swung by somewhere on the way," Crowley said and made his way to Ferid with both his aides behind him.

"Was there something interesting going on?" Ferid asked. Crowley simply shrugged and gave a smile.

"Well, the game's over now that you're here," Ferid smiled and returned his sword to its sheath. "I know, let's make them livestock. Take the Vampire Extermination Unit alive. Operation Livestock."

Sensing that the battle was about to start, I decided to do something incredibly stupid.

Can I go now? I asked inside my head, hoping that Mahiru could hear me.

Yes. She answered.

Taking my sword out, I place it in front of me.

"Hide me, Shiraki." The black swirls surround me and now no one was able to detect me. That's how I've always been able to appear out of nowhere.

I casually walked to where Ferid and the other nobles were but made sure to keep my distance. Walking behind Ferid, I saw him grip his sword again. He knows that there's someone here.

"Not bad," Crowley commented.

Shiraki made me visible once again with my signal and I stood next to Ferid. Smirking, I said to Ferid, "The game's just about to begin."

I immediately punched his right cheek and sent him flying back into buildings. Mika and the other nobles looked at me surprised as I only continue to smirk.

"Shiraki, destroy."

The black swirls went to where Mika, Horn, and Chess were as it surrounded them. Crowley unsheathed his sword and it immediately clashed with mine.

Giving me a smirk, he started a conversation, "You're quite strong for a human aren't you?"

I only scoffed and kicked him at his side, "Of course I am."

"(Y/n)!" Shinoa and her squad shouted. I couldn't turn to face them or I could die.

The black swirls disappeared but the three of them remained alive. I silently cursed knowing that this would be a 4 versus 1 battle.

Kicking Horn away and punching Chess with my free hand, I blocked Mika and Crowley's swords. The impact caused dust to fly around and everyone covered themselves.

Guren stood up and shouted an order, "Everyone! Prepare to retreat!

"W-Wait a minute! Mika, my family's over there!" Yuu shouted.

I quickly turned around while continuously blocking Crowley's attacks, "What?!"

"Mika! He's my family!" Yuu shouted again.

"You shouldn't have turned around, human~" Crowley teased before stabbing his sword at my right arm which was what I was using to hold my sword.

I let out a scream of pain and my sword automatically dropped. I looked at the stab wound and saw it was quite deep. Cursing, I grabbed the sword again and managed to dodge Mika's sword in time.

"Mika, don't hurt her!"

Mika glanced at Yuu before turning to me with cold eyes. He furrowed his eyebrows but continued to attack me.

"What are you still doing here? Did you not hear Guren's order to retreat?!" I shouted. 

Guren looked at me worriedly and I gave him a quick smile. He turned around and began to run.
