Lay me down
Next to a bed of roses
Lay me down
In medal box
Pale as a doll
Encircled by forget-me-nots
Lay me down
My painted face
Lay me down
Under the blistering sun
Bury me whole
My time has come
Lay me down
My fingers so cold
Lay me down
Cover my scars
Stich up my heart
I didn’t make it very far
Lay me down
I’m sorry for what I’ve done
Just lay me down
I’m sorry for what I made you do
My soul was broken
Yet I had more to loose
Lay me down
As I fall
Lay me down
Let me go
The war is over
And nobody knows
I beg of you
Just lie me down
Next to a bed of white roses
Lie me down
Let the medal box be my tomb
Lie me down
My time here is done
Please just lay me down
The roses dripped of red
Forget-me-nots have died
Here I am
I’m Buried alive
