I can feel it all around me.
It surrounds me, my everything,
Swallows me whole,
Embracing my very soul.
Thickening the air around me.
Why can't you see,
That I can't breathe.
I try to suck in air,
But nothing is there.
I can feel it all around me.
Choking me so ever slowly.
Slipping through the cracks of life,
Taking me with it.
Falling to the blackening pit.
I can feel it all around,
Pulling me down,
Down the hole,
For it to rot my soul.
Me it surrounds.
Taking my being,
Where it will never be seen.
Holding on,
For the ongoing ride,
Held my last breath,
Waiting for death.
I can feel it all around me.
I can no longer see.
I can no longer breathe.
Falling into where I'll never be seen.
My being just sitting there to rot.
I no longer see why I even fought.
I can feel it all around me.
It's like I'm locked in a room with my key.
Left here to die.
But yet I am still alive.
