Everyone has a choice
Choice which they themselves control
A choice that determines their life
A choice that affects their bodies
A choice that alters their minds
It's simply two that merge in together
There is neither one whole of this
Neither one whole of that
Not a dash of this or a pinch of that
They are constantly in motion
As are we, like rip tides
Crashing and pushing each other
Pulling, colliding, and intertwining
A never ending, eternally enchanted wave
We dilly dally on which side amuses us
Then flicker to the other once we get caught
In an unending battle within ourselves
Unleashing its war inside of our heads
Knocking and banging to let it out
Yet we sit idly to conform to the norm
Not speaking of what lies within
Within every single one of us
Only silence, because it is not proper
As it claws away at our sanity
We brace ourselves for the impact
That shall change our lives forever
And once again, never more
We teeter-tauter in between
These line of definite substance
That clutters the mind
Banging on our skull to let it out
To let it ALL out
These two choices
Is what becomes us all
Whether we admit it
Or hide from it
Shaming ourselves into oblivion
One, I name the light
The other, bestowed the dark
And together they bring life
They bring passion
They bring creation
They bring destruction
They bring joy
They bring anger
They bring sadness
They bring pain
They bring life
There are choices you have in life
It is up to you to decide which path
You shall waver in balance within yourself
What we ourselves consider good or bad
Between what is light and what is dark
That is what brings us the temptation
Temptation of the unknown and willing
Hello my name is twisted
And I am forever consumed with this battle
Yet at times, it seems so clear to me
Yes, there are time when I wipe the blood from my eyes
And begin to see clearly
Then I get struck in the back with a knife
Coughing up my insides blurring my vision once again
Hello, my name is Twisted
And there is a reason I choose to stay in the dark
It is because the light is just too bright
