By the time She got home Bai Zhenzhen was so exhausted that she fell asleep as soon as her head touched the bed. It was already midmorning by the time she woke from her much needed sleep.

She had a long day ahead of her. First thing in her schedule was lunch with Shen Xue and Fei'er after which was gift shopping for Zhou Jianyu's birthday present.

She got out of bed and after washing up, she got dressed and picking up her car keys left for the restaurant. In order to avoid being seen by the paparazzi she had dressed down and put on her sunglasses and face mask.

Shen Xue was already seated when she arrived at the at the table. She had made a reservation at the Italian restaurant located at the mall.

"Brother Shen Xue" She said as she sat across from him. "looks like it's just the two of us for now"

"I guess so, Fei'er sent me a text that she would be running late. She got called into the company by her agent" He replied

"I hope it's nothing serious"

"I don't think it is Zhenzhen. Since she is preparing for a comeback, it may have something to do with her upcoming mini album"

"that true. So how have you been doing since we last spoke? she asked taking a sip of water.

"it's been good, I have been busy with a few projects. I am actually thinking of going into producing, Liu Zhiyuan and I actually bought the right to a script. we looking to make it into a short film, Zhiyuan and I would co produce and I will direct the short crime flick"

"Wow that's wonderful. I had no idea you were interested in directing"

"Honestly neither did I. We actually came across the script and after going through this we liked it. Since the script writer is new no one paid much interest in it but Zhenzhen I can assure you that it's truly a gold mine. I actually wanted to talk to you about taking part in it. Filming won't be starting until late next year so it won't affect any other outstanding projects you have coming up"

"No need to say that twice please then sign me up for that because I am a 100% interested in that" she replied excited

"Really you aren't even going to think about this, you know converse with you manager and the rest of that" 

"No need for that I trust your judgement"

"How can you be so sure about that. For all you know it may be a total burst"

"I highly doubt that Shen Xue. You have always been a smart business man. I doubt you take sure a risk without much thought"

"We only just registered our company. The company is still small so might not be able to pay you as high as you are used to"

"I don't mind. You can pay me as much as you can.

"Really"

"Brother Shen Xue you have always looked out for me. You are just like an elder brother to me, I will always be there for you"

"Thanks"

"Speaking of your company. I don't know if you are in the market for investors"

"Maybe, why wanna invest in my company"

"Yes"

"Huh that's surprising"

"Yes it is, I am actually looking into investing my money and this is a good opportunity. Your company though new has a lot of potential so why not"

"Why not indeed. Alright welcome to
Baiyu studios cheers to a successful business" he said raising up his glass.

"alright  was I too late, what are we drinking to" Shen Fei'er said as she rushed over to the table.

"Oh nothing much just maybe becoming business partners" Bai Zhenzhen said smiling.

"Business partners, okay what did I miss? Shen Fei'er asked curious.

"Oh Brother Shen Xue and Lu Zhiyuan opened a production studio" Bai Zhenzhen replied cheerfully.

"Really that's wonderful, I had no idea. then the part about you guess being  Business partners? She said.

"Oh I just invested in the company so that makes me a partner"

"wow now that I will drink to but juice and not wine. Since I am still breast feeding. Especially since you guys are paying for lunch seeing as you are now big bosses" she said calling the waiter over and ordering a glass of  juice.

"Okay let's do this" Shen Fei'er said after the waiter delivered her order. They raised up their glass and clicked. "Speaking of good news. I have one of my own"

"oh do tell" Bai Zhenzhen replied.

"I was invited to take part in a music festival abroad"

"Wow congratulations Fei'er"

"am so happy for you cuz"

"the festival would hold at the beginning of the year so I will start recording my album and hopefully my album would be out before the end of the year ahead of the music festival"

"Wow this has been one hell of a year for us. We have all progressed in our careers it feels so unreal like not long ago we were still unknown artist struggling to move forward" Bai Zhenzhen said feeling nostalgic.

"Except maybe for brother Shen Xue. You were already a big deal thanks to Your band" Shen Fei'er said

"You exaggerate, I wasn't that popular"Shen Xue said.

"and you are too modest. Your band was such a big deal growing up. You guys were so good that everyone was shocked when you guys disbanded"  Bai Zhenzhen replied

"Well pride would do that especially when one person was convinced he was the star" He said sadly.

"Whatever happened to Li Chen? Shen Fei'er asked

"Like Icharus he flew too close to the sun. Let's all learn from him and not get too proud for our own good" Shen Xue replied.

"That's right" The all said nodding thoughtfully.
