Jax's POV

It was finally Friday, which meant I only had several more hours of hell to endure before I had a whole weekend of nothing.

But before I could get excited about that I had to get through English class.

Callum sat beside me, and for the first time that I've noticed, he seemed distracted and wasn't paying attention. He looked as if he was just as miserable as I am.

When the first bell rang symbolizing the start of class everyone's sprits seemed to get dimmer.

Just as I was about to lean over to ask Callum what was going on my question was answered for me.

I watched with sore eyes as the slutty teacher walk to the bored and start writing something.

Her skirt laid high above her knees and her shirt's v line made sure that nothing was left to the imagination.

'Test day' was written on the board when she pulled away and looked directly at me, which made a shiver run down my back.

"As you all know Friday is always test day," she said as she walked over to her desk and pulled out three stacks of paper and handed them to the front row and told them to pass them down.

"This test will cover the book we read this week as homework along with things we've been learning in class. You will get the results on Monday in class. Those of you who do not pass the test come to me and I will assign you extra credit."

I felt my soul leave my body as she made direct eye contact with me as she said the last sentence. A slight smirk was evident on her face but she didn't let it linger for long.

"You may begin your test when you are ready and leave when you have finished. Keep in mind you do have other classes to attend today. Leave your tests on your desks when you are finished. Cheating will result in a failed test regardless of your score. There is no talking in this class."

I couldn't help but take a glance at Callum as I glare at him. He only shot me a meek smile before beginning to take his test.

Callum had been acting weird all morning and when I asked him about it before we walked into class he said everything was fine. He didn't mention anything about a test.

I grit my teeth as I take my first look at this demon paper. It was three pages long front and back. Not a single one of the questions were multiple choice either. I was about fail this test.

After about 30 minutes people began moving. They walked right of class as if they didn't just spend half an hour in hell itself.

I kept thinking back to this past week and everything Liam tried to teach me back at the cabin but it was a lot of things to sort through.

After another ten minutes Callum sat his pencil down but didn't move. I looked over at him just to see what he was doing and I realized we were the only two left in class and I was the only one still taking the test.

Callum shot me a small smile and continued sitting beside me.

I look up at the clock above the teacher's desk and saw I only had a few more minutes until this class ended and the next would start.

"Mr. Scott, your next class begins in a few minutes, you best start moving if you want to make it there in time," Miss. Abbott said barely looking up from her planner.

"It's alright," Callum said calmly though I could tell he was anything but calm at this point. He seemed anxious for some reason. "I think Jax is almost done so I'll just wait for him to finish so I can take him to the next class." This finally makes Abbott look up.

"How long has Jax been here?" She asks calmly and in a bored tone.

"About a week now," Callum answered with a shrug.

"Then don't you think he is smart enough to remember how to get to his next class?"

"I never said he wasn't smart enough-" Callum went to say but was cut off.

"Do you think he is smart enough, yes or no?"

"Yes," Callum said as he hung his head low.

"Then leave him to finish his test before you are both late for your next class."

With a harsh sigh, Callum pushed his chair back roughly as he stood up and sent me a quick smile.

"You can do it. Take your time. Teachers take it easy on Fridays."

"Do not talk to him. He's still taking his test," she said rudely. "You can talk to him later." Callum scowled at her, which made me want to laugh but I settle for a small smile instead.

After Callum left the bit of confidence I had left.

My eyes glued to the paper but I could feel Abbott's eyes on me as I began reading the last question.

At this point my brain was already fried and I didn't care if I got this last question right or wrong so I wrote down a random answer and stood up from my desk quickly, trying to get out of here as fast as possible.

"What's the hurry Jaxon," she asked. I couldn't help but cringe at my real name.

"I'm just trying to get to my net class on time. I'm sure you have another class to get ready for anyway."

"You're right," she said sadly. "Can you at least gather those tests up for me before you go?" She asked meekly as she tucked her blonde hair behind her ear.

I sighed deeply and began gathering papers, doing it as fast as possible before nearly slamming the tests on her desk. Without another word I turn quickly to leave when something grabs my wrist.

"What's the rush for-" She asks but stops herself. As I spin myself around I jerk my hand out of hers and grab her arm with one hand and her neck with the other.

My mind goes blank as I push her back against the wall roughly. The back of her head slams against the wall and I have to keep myself from smiling at the look that crosses her face when she sees the rage on mine.

Pulling the hand that was resting on her arm back I go to punch her before stopping a few inches in front of her face. She flinches but makes no sound. When she doesn't feel the pain she expects to feel her eyes open slowly, her eyes meeting my glare again.

"Touch me again and next time I won't stop myself," I seethed but she only smiles.

"I'm not afraid of you," she says as her hand comes up to play with the hem of my shirt. Her hand slips up, her fingers brushing my stomach as a smile plays on her lips.

Every bit of self-control I have at that point leaves my body and all that's left is blinding rage. My chest becomes hollow as my fist rises on it's own accord.

The first hit lands at her stomach while my other hand squeezes harder on her neck to keep her in place. My hand pulls back to punch again when someone grabs me by my stomach and pulls me back.

My hand stayed firmly on the women's neck and she was pulled back with us.

People started yelling all around me and suddenly I was back at the fights in the middle of an unfair match. Two against one was always a good way to make money and happened to be my father's favorite kind of fights.

My hand lets go of the woman's neck as I rip out of the person's arms behind me. The woman falls to the ground as I turn around quickly to deal with the other person.

With a quick jab to the stomach I pull my hand back and reach for his throat before slamming him to the wall as well.

"You really have a thing for choking people don't you?" Liam's voice breaks through my rage and it's like I can see again after being blind that whole time.

Liam's face is red and his hand holds his stomach where I hit him.

"Can you let go of me now?"
