I had to sacrifice things but didn't regret doing so. For as I let go of those things I learned to love, I started gaining things I never knew existed.
Pure happiness.
Araw araw tuwing nagigising ako, I couldn't help but be thankful. For having a stable career, for being able to do what I love, for loving someone unconditionally and for being loved back. Sabi nga ni Kiefer, Blessed beyond belief.
I opened my eyes with a smile plastered on my face, I touched my swollen lips and bit it. Last night was pure bliss.
I was underneath him, I love when he nibbles my ear then I'll tease him with butterfly kisses on his neck, shoulders down to his exposed chest. He'll peel off my clothing one by one, run his fingers on my face
"Breakfast in bed." I heard him as our room door opens. Kiefer has been the best husband to me, always so patient. Hangga't maari he won't let me do anything in our house. He hired helpers to do things for me. Every morning as long as he can, he'll cook breakfast and then there are times like these wherein he'll surprise me with a tray of food and a stem of rose.
"Wow naman. Thank you baby." I greeted him with a kiss on the tip of his nose, and like what he always do he kissed my hair.
He gave me his shirt to wear.
"Don't look." I told him but he just smiled at me.
"What?" He asked as if he's not doing anything wrong. I glared at him.
"Turn around, I'll wear na this shirt." I hissed at him and he chuckled.
"Nakita ko na yan, nakiss ko pa." Biro niya bago tinakpan ang mata at tumalikod. My cheeks turned crimson red.
"All done now." I announced and he turned to me.
"Ang ganda talaga." Sabi niya sabay halik sa labi ko.
"Bolero!" I rolled my eyes at him.
And because he prepared the food, I'll be in charge with the dishes. Hawak niya ang tray habang pababa kami sa kusina.
He leaned on the sink habang naghuhugas ako.
"Bakit lalo kang gumaganda babe?" I rolled my eyes at him. He chuckled.
"Totoo nga, parang habang tumatagal lalo kang gumaganda pa. Tapos lalo pa kong nahuhulog sayo." Sabi niya, and without a doubt I'm twitterpated. Hindi ko naman kailangan pang-itago yun, asawa ko na siya. Binaba ko ang hinuhugasan kong pinggan at inabot ang kitchen towel para tuyuin muna ang aking kamay.
"Are you gonna bail out on me again?" Straightforward I asked him. Hindi naman iisang beses nangyari na hindi natuloy ang lakad namin dahil sa hectic niyang schedule.
I cancelled all my appointments kasi sabi niya we'll go joyride. I was too excited for today kasi matagal tagal na din kaming hindi nakakalabas ng Manila for leisure. 6 months of marriage, after our honeymoon in Europe balik trabaho na kami.
I quit Philippine Team, masakit because I love that team as much as I love the sports pero I had to. Gusto kong maging hands-on kay Kiefer and in starting a new life together. Maglalaro pa rin naman ako ng volleyball, I can't just escape that. It's part of my life. At alam ko ring di magugustuhan ni Kiefer na tumigil ako totally.
"Ahmm. Baby.." He said as he hug me from behind. Tsk, sabi na eh.
"What is it this time Kiefer?" Disappointment and annoyed I asked him. Naramdaman ko ang baba niya sa balikat ko and his lips on my neck.
