well this is a fine holiday indeed.

you pouted to yourself resting on the your favorite cushion quite disgruntled. you coughed to yourself as you crossed your arms as you curled in a ball, pouting. he seriously took it this far. he actually decided the best way to punish you was to confine you in a cell of all things. sure it was big and sebastian made sure to make it as comfortable and cozy as possible. he chose a cell in the far back, away from the hole. he made sure to cushion the hard wood bench with as many pillows and blankets, putting food and water in and (unfortunately) a sandbox for restroom purposes, but hell if you stood locked up in a room against your will! you snort in indignation. the nerves! you couldn't help but think about the others, running amok with a demon hound a foot. Finny... Bard... Mey-rin... Tanaka... Master..!! all of them, having the possibility of being demon kibble! you rose to your paws and began to pace around the cell, eyes dark in worry. ooohhh... I gotta get out of here! you stare at the bars in dismay.

normally, they were wide enough for you to easily slip through. but unfortunately Ciel caught that, and had sebastian take care of it. so, he took a bunch of bricks and stacked them against the bars, just enough so you wouldn't be able to jump over them. for the most part, he didn't enjoy it. you pleaded and begged as much as you could while giving him the biggest kitten eyes you could muster. but sigh. he was to follow his master's orders. you couldn't help but notice on how mournful he looked while doing this. at least there's that. you slam your paws against the brick wall and throw your head back in a yowl. "I GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!"

(name)? is that you? "Bark bark?!" your eyes shoot open as you recognize that bark. (dog)! you hear the patterning of dog paws running into your enclosure and rapid sniffing at the brick wall. "(dog)! thank the gods you're here! hurry! get me out of here!" you took a ragged breath before continuing. "my master's in danger!" you heard an alarmed whimper from the dog, as he presumably must have thought of his former master's demise. Well.. don't worry! I'll get you out in a jiffy! just a sec! "Bark!" he responded reassuringly. you then heard him barking something of in a distance. before then, you heard multiple paw steps enter the enclosure. you heard numerous sounds of communication between (dog) and his pack before a yip of satisfaction was heard. (name)! one of the pack members have learned a trick from watching their masters! "BARK!" (dog) began. then the loud bark of that big burly black dog sounded. do you think you can hook your little kitty claws into this? "Raorf!" you see the black dog's head over the brick wall for a moment before he suddenly slinks a slightly worn brown collar with a sturdy looking leash attached to it.

you grinned, grateful triumph shinning in your eyes.

"we're getting close! I can smell their scents!" you called over the wind, as the large black dog raced through the dead forest, you clinging to his back. normally, you'd have no problem with running ahead, looking for your beloved friends yourself, but lately you've lacked in energy since last night. the only thing keeping you up is your adrenaline pulsing through your veins like blood. you sure you don't want us to handle it? I mean you smell s- "Ra-" he was cut off by your gentle but firm reply. "no. they are my masters, an I must find them!" the black dog took a glance back at you, looking mildly impressed by your loyalty. and I thought you cats only cared for yourselves. "gggrrrm.." you hear him mutter. you truly amaze me, small cat. you then come up to a place with dead... hands... jutting up from the ground. A gasp caught in your throat. "stop!" you command, and almost immediately, the pack of dogs all slow to a halt. you jumped off your trusty mount and tip your head back, parting your jaws to breath in their scents. but the scent you picked up wasn't like any other you had.... musky with dashes of decay...

and cinder.

your pelt prickled. and you felt the change in atmosphere as the scent reached the dogs. wh-what are you planning on...? "rrrgh...?" one of the dogs behind you whimpered. your tail lashed behind you as a low growl emanated from your throat. "stay here." you ordered firmly. "From here it could get dangerous. I want you all safe." ignoring the whimpers and whines they made, you strutted ahead, chin held up and eyes narrowed, prepared to face whatever hells await you.

W-wait! "Bark!" You stopped and turned around quizzically, watching as (dog) stepped forward with something in his mouth. Once he was close enough, he dipped his head and dropped something at your paws. Take this with you. We dug this up while making our new territory... we don't know what it is, but we think a cat like you can make use of it. "Rrrrmmm..." he nudged it to you with his nose. Your pupils glimmered at the treasure presented to you.

"..perfect."

this damn fog! I can't see past my own nose!

you thought angrily as you pressed onwards, ears pricked and tail high, ready for any means of battle, if necessary. so far... nothing. however the scent trail left behind by the Phantomhive staff kept you going. if it stretched out this long, it must be going somewhere. after what felt like ages, a shape appears in the fog. the old, decrepit remains of a stone house it seems. interesting... curious, you scamper over to the rubble and press a paw to it. very interesting... with effort, you leap over the rotten stone and land on dry grassy grounds. you walk forward, drinking in the wreckage that had occured to this presumably exotic building. damn... what could have happened here..?

GGGGrrrrrRRRrrr....

you froze mid-step as a deep, booming growl filled your ears, followed with the rancid stench of decay and ash filled your nose. time slowed to a stop as you slowly turned your head and looked up to meet a massive pair of flaming red eyes.
