Chapter sixteen - Douma or Inosuke?

You stared at him with wide eyes and backed up towards inosuke.

He's the boss?!

He's not even scary!

Not too scary....

You looked at Inosuke who looked even more angry,
"See! We can't trust him!" He spat out,

"He still hasn't hurt me!"

"He will!" He kept on denying you.

Why won't he listen.....

You held back tears,
"Listen to me!"

"Not until we leave!"

"No!"

He stopped and growled, Douma was just watching. He seemed to be enjoying it, which pissed Inosuke off even more.

"Let her think for herself," Douma tried to say,
"Shut up demon!" Inosuke yelled at him,

You were mad, but at the same time sad...... you didn't want to fight, you really didn't....

You ears went down and your tails drooped,
"Just listen to me, for once!" You said, he hesitated but closed his mouth.

Finally.

You went to Douma, and stood next to him. Inosuke started growling.

If you had a newspaper or a stick or something, you would've smacked him in the nose!

"He hasn't hurt me! Or you! Some demons may be nice!" You tried to tell him,
"H-" You stopped him,

"No! Listen! I want you to calm down!"

"......."

"Good, he isn't going to hurt me, or you! So calm down, he's a nice demon!"

"He's not! He's lying" He shouted,

Douma broke in, " Seems like you aren't letting her decide" He wore a smile,

"Shut it!" He told him,

"I think she should stay with me instead, she wouldn't get sad,"

"No! She's better off with me!"

You looked down, a little scared of the situation,
"You've done it again," Douma said, " She's scared of you, she belongs with me, I can make her happier,"

Inosuke froze to look at you, were you really scared of him? Not that much..... and Douma was really nice....

You looked up at Inosuke slowly, he didn't move at all,
"Let's let her decide?" Douma said, your heart raced.

You looked at both of them, you weren't scared of Inosuke and you know he meant well....... and Douma- he.... he was a demon, but he was the nicest one you had ever seen. Even if you had only seen a few.

Douma looked at you as Inosuke did, Inosuke said nothing still.

You stood there, the decision should be easy...... what was convincing you..... was it because he was a demon? That was the closest thing to a Yokai.....

Douma? Inosuke?

"I-I'm sorry...." You stuttered out.

You looked at Douma, and slowly stepped over to Inosuke,
"I want to stay with Inosuke," You said.

Douma didn't look mad at all, wow,
"Well you can always come back," Douma muttered something you couldn't hear.

Inosuke looked relieved, your ears slowly went up.

Inosuke glared at Douma one last time,
"....let's go......." He muttered out, you only nodded in response.

You both left Douma standing there and stepped outside the warehouse from the broken door.

Inosuke looked at you, " Let's never go back there, alright?......" he said slowly,

"Yeah, ok...." There was something obviously wrong..... but you didn't really want to pry, but you did....... but you didn't?

You both made it back to the inn and walked into the room.

Inosuke didn't even go on the bed.... he just sat next to it, he took of his mask and sat it besides him...... you got some of the food the people had left, but you weren't really hungry....

You sat down on the bed and looked at him. He looked.... sad, it made your heart ache.

You didn't like him like this..... not at all...

He looked up at you finally,
"Y/N..... are you... scared of me?" He mumbled.
