Chapter twelve - Town

"Inosuke, stop!" You called out to him as he chased the kid. The mother soon joined chasing Inosuke with a broom.

"STOP THAT, YOU OLD HAG!" He yelled at her, she threw that broom at him, it hit him in the back of the head.

He brought out his swords and threatened her and she grabbed her child,
"Inosuke no!"  You stepped in front of him,
"Down!"

He hesitated,
"She threw a broom at me!"

"You chased her child!"

"He deserved it!"

"Inosuke!"

He growled and put his swords away slowly, very slowly.

You smiled,
"Thank you"

He crossed his arms.

"Fools!" The mother spat, "Learn how to control yourself, boar!"

"We're sorry!" You bowed extremely low,

She spat at you, muttering something and then walked away, taking her broom with her.

"Stupid hag," He muttered under his breath and glared at the mother as you stood back up. 

You looked at him and put your hands on your hips, you wanted to smack the back of his head,
"That was very bad Inosuke!"

"They started it!" He protested,

"You continued it!"

He looked away,
"You can't do that ever again, or else no fighting!"

He didn't say anything,
"Inosuke!"

"Fine!" He finally said.

You smiled and pat his head.... mask?
"Good!"

You started walking through the town, he followed you closely, he still had his arms crossed.

Some kids pointed at you and Inosuke but you couldn't blame them, he was wearing a boar mask with no shirt, and you had ears and multiple tails.

Though it made you feel insecure, your ears drooped down along with your tails.

*Its fine.... I'm okay...*

Inosuke almost started fighting with someone else but you dragged him along.

It was a small town with dirt roads and trees surrounding it, there was a hill with some more houses and what looked like an old warehouse.

On the other side was some shops and parks for children. The roads were full of people instead of cars and other things.

You realized you would need a place to stay, and you didn't feel like asking someone else....

*Maybe there's a inn somewhere, oh right...... no money*

You felt even worse,
"We're going to have to live on the streets," you mumbled to yourself.

He broke into your conversation with yourself,
"No,"

"Yes..."

"No,"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Then what do you think we do??"

"Stay somewhere,"

"...."

You forgot he was dumb, but you might as well try,
"Okay.... lets go find a inn then...."

He looked at you like you were dumb,
"An inn?" He asked,

"Yeah? It's a place you stay at..."

"I knew that," He responded confidently.

*no, no you didn't*

You didn't feel like arguing anyways,
"Ok, let's keep looking then..."

You had to admit you were tired, you were walking for so long you just wanted to sleep. So you were relived when you saw a place with the words 'Nichi Inn' written on its wall.

You ran inside, Inosuke was one step ahead of you and beat you there.

It was a small place but still was nice,
"A room for two," You told the person nervously.

Small plants decorated the corners along with chairs and paintings.

"Sorry ma'am, but there's one room left and it's only for one,"

It was weird getting called a ma'am but apparently one second of hesitation was enough for Inosuke to butt it,
"We'll take it!"

"Eh- um o-okay...." You agreed,
"How will you pay," she asked, then she saw Inosuke's swords hidden behind his back,
"Oh a demon slayer, of course!"

She handed you the keys quickly and Inosuke seemed pretty proud of himself, more than usually that is-

You made it to the room that Inosuke had walked past, you looked at him and then went inside. He soon followed you, once realizing you weren't behind him.

You sighed, you needed to teach him how to read......

laterrrr.

He flopped on the bed before you could but at this point your legs weren't working so they just jellofied-

and you fell onto the bed as well,

"Gooniht," you mumbled, your words were muffled by the pillow,
"Night," He looked at you and turned away.

You passed out almost instantly, and you were comfy. It was surprisingly warm even if you didn't have the blanket on.
