Jane had to talk to Derrick and so she did.
"She's unresponsive in the sessions and I think she might be spiraling as of right now. Did anything happen over the holiday? Before the holiday? After?"
"No, nothing happened. When we're at home she's fine. Talking. Acting like she always does, maybe she just doesn't have anything to say. She's depressed. Maybe right now it's just hitting her harder than usual."
Jane could only agree. Telling him that it was normal for kids of her background to go through tougher bouts of depression during the holidays but she still wanted him to keep a close watch over her. She didn't have any reason to think Aaron was becoming a danger to herself at the moment but the precaution still needed to be in place.
She let them leave but upped her medication dosage and told Derrick it would be wise to have her go out and attempt to be social with someone she felt comfortable and to try to take her mind off the holidays and whatever other thoughts she may be having in her head in some sort of way.
