joey
i make my way up to her slowly. a smile starts appearing on my face slowly. "you're alive?"
she cracks a smile and nods. "i'm alive." she whiserpered.
i still couldn't believe it, she was alive. rowan is alive. i cupped her cheek and brushed my thumb against it. "i'm so mad at you for doing that."
"i'm so sorry." she whispered. i press my forehead against hers as she placed her hand on my cheek. "i promise i won't leave you again. no more fake deaths i swear."
i let out a small laugh and nod. i cup both her cheeks and kiss her softly. "angelica is gonna be happy to see you."
she pulled away and laughed lightly. i missed her laugh so much. "i can't wait to see her and santiago."
she fidgeted with her fingers nervously. "i only knew him for a few days, but i can't wait to see how grown he is."
"finally, i thought i was gonna have to mail rowan out to you." i look over at the door and see melanie standing there with a cup of coffee on her hands and a huge smile plastered on her face.
"can't believe you knew." i shook my head.
"i kept my best friend hidden from her boyfriend for ten years, i was starting to feel guilty." she giggled.
i chuckle a bit and look at rowan. i held her hand in mine and smiled to myself. i can't believe believe i got the love of my life back.
"we have to get to the hospital."
rowan looked at me confused. "what, why?"
"i accidentally shot hunter on the hand." i formed my lips into a thin line.
she slapped my head playfully. "you idiot."
"can you give us a ride home please?" i asked melanie. she nods.
"let me just get my keys." she walked back inside then came back out a minute later.
i looked over rowan and smiled widely. "i still can't believe you're here." i tell her as we walked to the car.
"i thought about you a lot, joey. i even regret leaving you for the past ten years." i shook my head and kissed her cheek softly.
"it's okay, baby." i whispered to her. "you're here now and that's all that matters."
she smiled and nodded. we get in the car and melanie drove us home. the car ride was silent, but it was a good silence. i haven't been this happy in ten years and now that i got rowan back i'm sure everything will go back to normal.
once we were home we waved melanie goodbye and walked inside the house.
rowan
"wow." i mumbled and looked over at joey. "it's been so long since i've stepped foot in this house. is everything still the same?"
he nods. "except now we got a teen and two tweens."
i giggle and nod. i took a deep breath.
"ready?" he asked.
i nod.
i intertwined my fingers with his and walk up to the door. i was a bit nervous. i haven't seen everyone in a long time and i'm kinda excited i am. i missed everyone so much, i swear i'm never faking my death again.
we walked inside the house. i took a look around whole joey walked in another room looking for everyone else.
"can i help you?" i look in front of me and see a boy standing in front of me. "oh wait, delia?"
i shook my head. delia? who the hell is delia?
"no, i'm rowan.." my voice fades.
the boy looked kinda familiar but i couldn't quite put my finger on it.
he widened his eyes. "no way..."
i heard footsteps approach us. i look over the boys shoulder and see a girl looking down at her phone, approaching us. she looked up and stopped in her tracks when she saw me.
"oh my god, mom?" she walked closer to me.
"so turns out everyone is already at the hospital and they left the-" i look over my shoulder and see joey standing there. he stopped talking when he saw the kids in front of us.
i looked back at angelica. "angelica?"
she started tearing up. she nods. "is it really you?"
i nod and cup her cheek, staring into her eyes. "it's me sweetie."
she started sobbing and laughing at the same time. i pull her into a hug and hug her tightly. "how are you alive?" she pulled away. "i really thought you were gone oh my god." she sniffed.
i shook my head. "it's a long story." i look down at her neck and crack a smile. "you got my gift?"
she looked down at her neck and smiled, nodding. "do you want it back?"
i shook my head. "it's yours now angelica, i meant it when i said it."
"did you know?" angelica looked over at joey.
joey shook his head. "i just found out too, ang."
the boy walked up to me and stuck his hand out. "i'm theo." he smiled. "and it's nice to meet you rowan, dads told me a lot about you. i was barely one when you passed or well when we thought you did."
i smiled at him and nod. "that's right, theo. leo and roman adopted you."
he nods. "my dad leo is still kinda upset about what happened and he needs good news like you right now. he told me how you guys were super close."
"i can't wait to see him?" i rub theo's shoulder softly. "damn you're kinda tall."
he chuckled.
"where's santiago?" joey asked.
"he went with roman." angelica answered. "and leo is in NA"
i furrowed my brows. "NA?"
she nods. "narcotics anonymous, he was going through withdrawal with dads pills."
i looked at joey. "you're on medication?"
he nodded slowly. "i didn't tell melanie everything everything which is why we have to catch up."
i nod. "obviously."
after a couple of minutes of small talk we head out to the car. joey drives us all to the hospital where hunter and everyone else was at.
once we were there i got out of the car and head inside with everyone else. i took joeys hand into mine and waited for hunter out in the lobby.

i looked over at rowan. she looked nervous. the way she bounced her leg up and down and bit her nail. she always did that when she was nervous. i took her hand into mine to reassure her. she looked at me and smiled.
"i love you." she mouthed.
"i love you, rowan."
i leaned in to place a kiss on her lips, but i was interrupted by a voice.
"hey."
i looked up and saw delia standing there. i gulped and looked over at rowan. she just eyed her then looked back at me.
this was awkward.
