i push nick away. "what the fuck man? i'm with leo and he's your best friend."
nick scoffs. "best friend? he stole my ex boyfriend a long time ago. i might've laughed when he broke his heart, but leo stopped being my best friend after. i could've never forgave him for that so instead i decided why not steal his current boy toy."
i rolled my eyes. "i can't be stole from, asshole." i open the door and was about to head out until nick closed the door again with his hand.
"but aren't you tired of him? i mean after all these years you can do better." he walks closer to me. he was about to kiss me but th door swung open and revealed joey.
joey looked between both of us. "roman, come with me." i nod my head. he just stared at nick longly before walking out the room.
i walk outside and stop when i see leo standing there. "where's nick?"
i shrug. "who knows?"
i walk outside with joey. he stood there and sighed in annoyance. "are you really cheating on leo right now? what the fuck is wrong with you?"
"n-no it's not what you think!"
he stood there and crossed his arms waiting for an explanation. "i walked in the office and he just followed me inside! then he kissed me! at first i thought it was leo so i kissed back but then by the time i realized it wasn't him i pulled away quickly."
"you need to get rid of him before he fucks your relationship up even more. and you better tell leo or i will." he shook his head and walked back inside the house. i sigh and look down at my feet before taking a seat on one of the lawn chairs.
"if you tell leo i'll deny everything." i shot my head up and saw nick standing there. "i'll tell him you went nuts or something or jealousy got to you. say it was you who kissed me." he walked closer to me. he pulls up another lawn chair and sits in front of me.
he scooted closer to me and cupped my cheeks. i connect my eyes with his and look at him. "unless you're willing to keep it a secret." he whispered. he looking down at my lips before leaning in and kissing me.
i sat there with my eyes open as he kissed me. i push him away quickly and stand up. i walk back inside the house and sigh. i accidentally bump into someone and see leo standing there. he looked at me and wiped the tears away that were forming in his eyes. "babe what's wrong?" i ask him.
he shook his head and let's out a small smile though it seemed pretty fake. "i got hot cheeto dust in my eyes and now it hurts a lot." he chuckled nervously. nick walks back inside and looks at us both with a smile.
"hey lovely couple." he looked over at me. his smile turned into a slight smirk before walking away.
i looked back at leo, but i noticed he was gone.
i sigh and run my fingers through my hair frustratedly before kicking the can full of trash. the trash spills everywhere making me groan frustratedly before heading back inside the office.
party day
i haven't seen leo in almost all day. i'm starting to think he was avoiding me. why would he? did he see nick kiss me? did he think i kissed him back? i sure hope he didn't. either way i needed to tell him, lying to my husband isn't something i thought i'd never do, let alone cheat on him.
how could nick do this to him? sure leo took his ex boyfriend but that was over a decade ago, like let it go man. there's plenty of other dick in the sea.
