This is a night that will pass away
No sleep to get me to the next day
Sitting in silence, reading these words
They ring hollow, my sorrow unheardCrying out to the heavens for some food or rest
Running on water and 2 hours sleep at best
One day in the future, I'll look back on this
I'll smile in relief and give my pillow a kissA night I won't forget, a busy day on its heels
I'll accept my fate and try not to feel
I'll ignore my soul, always fighting to get free
And take on the night as if it's a part of me
