Set aloft on the ashes of a roaring fire
Burning desire pushing higher and higher
Still aglow and primed with ambition
Building this inferno is my only mission
Consuming the flames like a daily prescription
I can't stop until I fit the description
Break my heart and destroy my comfort
Trauma and suffering are now what come first
To pursue a dream, one must sacrifice
Grab the scalpel and be willing to excise
Tear out happiness and your useless pride
Eliminate the places you used to hide
Swallow your tears and banish your smile
Become something completely callous and vile
Tempering rage is your new way of being
Blind yourself to what others are seeing
You turn to face the odds with cruel focus
Thrash them like you've fallen to psychosis
The wretch within loud with pleading cries
Desparate to sway your unfeeling mind
No longer associating with the weak and meak
A biproduct of resistance, a natural freak
Destiny decides this insignificant fate
Grasping success, the one you hate
