A Moving On

My first impression was your strength
A rebel still unsettled
Next was your willingness to break the rules
Still a kid, though turning that corner
You were a model of what I would come to look for in a woman
Though you could be unreasonable, irrational
So could everyone, in my experience
You were driven like a truck and ran on and on in the blazing sun
Taken in by every vice, always with an eye on the exit
But you built something I can only hope to emulate
You built a life of wealth and creativity
Driving onward through the damage you took
It's inspirational how far you got
Life had to use it's strongest cards to take you down
In the end life always wins because it goes on while we cannot
You have left me with a beacon to follow
I am inspired to take those hits and continue on down the road
Maybe the value of a car isnt how far it can take you
Maybe it is how it handles the road with its ever changing twists and turns, dips and climbs
Its how it handles the problems as they arise
A car like that is sure to leave many behind who cant quite keep up the pace
You went on while others took time to rest
Incredible, most of all was your mental strength
And the kindness you always had ready to be given
Selfsufficiency in its purest form
