Waking with a breath
And a beat of my heart
A thought of the dreams end
And when it did part
To a sun shining strong
Placed high upon the sky
Already falling down
Releasing a sigh
For starved weary minds
That turn toward love
Grateful for a presence
Or lack thereof
A day disguising feelings
A few seconds to love
When my whole heart swells
With the light from above
For these words caught up
No expression or escape
Destined to linger
