Beautiful flower, won't you bloom?
Your presence fills this once hollow room
Asleep in a second, so quick to depart
I sit here gazing at your body of art

You're a waking dream
Filling in the empty seams
A servant to your sleeping beauty
Happily free from all who knew me

In your eyes I'm born anew
Reshape me from the inside out
My name shifts to match you
My heart falls about you

Looking at you, my Golden Lotus
I see a sight I'll never turn from
Intoxicated by your skin and smell
I float on dreamily after you

Precious love, I believe this is it
I waited so long just for your kiss
Happily lost in this loving haze
Wondering when I entered your maze

It was one day looking out over the water
I spied a lotus in the dark
Silhouetted against the moon
Drawing closer in my gaze

I squinted my eyes against the night
And was met with a shimmering light
Patiently waiting for the sun to come around
Peeling back the shades of black from the ground

There in your solitude was a sight to behold
More than what can be taught or told
Petals slowly fall open to meet the sky
My reason for waiting I finally know why

She was there this whole time
Making her way across the water
Drifting toward where I would be
On that night to capture me
