Eternal Fight

I'm losing an eternal boxing match
Getting knocked to the ground again and again
I want nothing more but to leave the ring
Somewhere out there to find my peace
If only I could win this fight with life
Finally incapacitate my towering opponent
I wonder if life will keep getting up like me
I've yet to land a single blow
Now life has given me a losing hand
Wrapped in flame and unending pain
Spiraling down to the bottom of my heart
Here there is only crippling sadness
Alone I sit in a pool of blood and sorrow
Waiting for the bell to ring
