Dear Nanny,

You always used to say, if we get close enough to people we didn't like, we would be able to see the human in them and how they have their share of goodness too.

Nanny, that taught me to never hate a person, that taught me that villains are humans too.

But Nanny, you forgot to tell me we have to take a step back, a lot of steps back, and we gotta take cover because admiring the humanity underneath that monstrous lining, we are bound to forget that the monstrosity runs layer over layer over layer over layer and the humanity is buried so deep within, it often vanishes and outweighed by the thick, stratified exterior.

Nanny, not all beasts come with curses that can be lifted.
