We used to deem all these phrases so selfish. Like all they cared about was themself, how they'd feel if someone left. They cry when someone dies because they're worried about their emptiness and loss and how life would turn out for them now.
But I don't think so anymore. Isn't all the purpose and essence of life to be loved or wanted by someone? Isn't that what everyone seeks? To be needed by someone?
And I guess, that's exactly what these phrases exhibit. Don't they?
