"What's wrong?" Xavi asked, noticing my change in mood.

"Nothing." I muttered, biting my lower lip as hard as I could.

"You'll end up making your lip bleed if you keep doing that." He said, reaching over to un-tuck it with his thumb.

"You, my dear, also suck at lying." Josh said, taking my hand in his. "Let's get out of here, okay?"

I merely nodded and stood up as Manu shoved my things into my bag, Xavier and Josh setting our finished plates away. I gave the three of them a small smile as they brought me out of the food court. The two brunettes stood on either side of me as the blonde stood in front of us. We eventually stopped walking when we reached the field, each of us sitting on the bleachers, the guys still surrounding me as they have planned ever since I met them.

"Y/n, we can't keep shielding you from him, love." Josh said, breaking the silence between the four of us. "You're like our little sister and it hurts us to see you upset but you need to at least tell us what happened between you and Shawn."

"I'm not asking you to shield me from him." I muttered, staring off onto the green grass.

"Yet if we don't, we always see the sadness in your eyes when you look at him." Xavier explained, placing his hand on my back. "It's really hard on our part since we want to help you, to take the pain away yet you won't talk to us."

"And as I told you earlier, you can trust us. We've been together since the first year of high school. That's basically six years." Manu added in.

"I really do not deserve you guys." I sighed, turning so that I was facing them. "Long story short, I found him kissing his ex on his house. I was supposed to stop by that day since we planned to just hang out but there he was, sitting on the couch with her on top of him. He said he was over her. I guess that's what hurts the most. I held on to the hope that maybe, he will be the one for me, that he'll love me as much as I did to him. Yet it was only a lie."

There was a slightly uncomfortable between us, the guys trying to process what I just said. Before I knew it, they jumped up with clenched jaws and fists. My blood ran cold at the familiar deadly expressions on their faces.

"I'm gonna kill him." Xavi practically growled, about to step off the benches.

"No! Xavi, don't! Please, I'm begging you guys!" I pleaded, placing my hands in front of them in attempt to stop them.

"He cheated on you, y/n! We're not gonna sit around and watch you suffer because of it!" Josh added.

"See?! This is exactly why I didn't tell you! You guys are more dramatic than me! I don't want revenge. I don't want you guys to potentially get hurt either."

"Then what will you do? We can't keep watching you mope around." Manu asked, his shoulders relaxing by a fraction.

"I'll just try to avoid him."

"Xavier! Manu! Josh! Get changed. We still have practice." Somebody called out from the soccer field.

They all sighed and took their bags from the benches.

"Will you be okay on your own?" Josh asked, holding my hand once again.

"Yes. Now go. I don't want to hold you guys back." I said, smiling at them.

They all hesitantly walked away, not before each of them gave me a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek. I watched them make their way over to the locker rooms, sighing before leaving as well. I looked up at the sky and groaned as the clouds started getting darker by the minute. The bus stop and the field are far away from each other so even if I tried to run, I will end up soaked. But that didn't really stop me from trying. Once I sat down on the bench, finally taking cover as I waited for the next trip, I was drenched.
