~Shawn's POV~

"I don't blame you if you don't know me or don't recognize me but maybe this would help you remember." The fan said as she wiped her eyes, handing an envelope out to me. "Bye king."

She ran out of the venue before I could even register what just happened. I opened the envelope and a gray piece of paper fell out. I bent down to look at it and I couldn't help but freeze. Could it be?

I turned it to see a handwritten note on the back of the picture

I turned it to see a handwritten note on the back of the picture.

"Hey king,

I know you probably don't remember me. I mean, it's been like, eight years? But I just wanted to say, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I wasn't able to tell you I was leaving. And when I say that I miss you, I really do. I just hope you remember...

~Queen AKA y/n"

I put the picture in my pocket before running out of the venue to look for her. I saw two figures get into the car before the sound of the engine being turned on filled the air. I ran towards the car but they started to leave the venue. I continued to run after it and yelling her name. I tried to follow them out but the guards stopped me before I could reach the road.

"Y/n!" I shouted helplessly as I saw the car fade from view.

Weeks passed and I've been searching for her in all the social media platforms. Why the hell is it so hard to find her?! She should've posted the picture by now. I've been checking my mentions as well as the photos I've been tagged in but I couldn't find her. I admit, I didn't know it was her before I saw the pictures but when she walked into the room, I found her somewhat familiar. There was something about her that made me hug her as tight as I could when she got near me and when she cried, my heart felt as if it cracked a bit. Her letter only confirmed her identity since I've never felt that way for anyone except for the girl from when I was still a child.

"@ShawnMendes: Where are you? I've been looking for you yet I can't find a single trace of you."

Several fans replied to the tweet almost immediately after I posted it. Most of then thought it was for a song I'm writing, some thought it was for them. But none of then are from her. How do I know? The user's picture.

"@ShawnMendes: I remember you..."

Once I posted that one, the tweet I've been waiting for finally came.
