A/N: This explains some things from the last one shot. Enjoy!

Patton had gone back home, and retreated to the Mindscape. He was lying on his bed, tears streaming down his face.

Today marked the year anniversary or your death.

Patton had been reliving what happened everyday. For some reason, today was especially vivid.

•|FLASHBACK|•

Patton, being the sweet cinnamon roll he was, had taken you out to get cinnamon rolls. You sat in the small, cozy cafe, enjoying each other's presence.

Patton gazed into your bright, deep (E/c) eyes.

You got lost in his beautiful chocolate brown eyes.

Everything was going well.

You two were on your way to the pet store to play with some adorable fuzzballs.

You had to cross a road to get there, but you had done it before.

wHAt cOuLD gO wROnG?

The crossing light was on, and you started walking across the road.

Patton looked down the road and saw a truck barrelling down towards you.

"Pat, c'mon! The animals are waiting for us!" You turned around and grinned at him, not noticing the obviously drunk driver speeding his vehicle down the road.

The moment you turned around to look at Patton, your last moment, you looked absolutely stunning. (Not that you didn't before.) The light reflected in your eyes, your hair waving in the wind.

But it's not that that kills Patton.

He could've warned you.

He could've saved you.

•|FLASHBACK END|•

Patton's once near silent sobs turned into gut wrenching cries.

You watched him from above, ruffling your soft white wings.

You closed your eyes and imagined yourself in Patton's room.

Your flowing golden clothes lighting up the dark corners, your soft smile bringing joy and happiness.

"Patton." Your voice sounded strange, after not hearing it for so long.

His head snapped up.

"(Y-y/n)...?" He sounded so sad. Broken.

It hurt, seeing him like that.

"It's okay. I'm in Heaven. I've been watching over you, Pat." Your time with him was running out. "It's not your fault. It never has been. All has been forgiven."

Patton's face exploded with joy and relief.

"I love you, (Y/n)." He whispered at your fading form.

"I will always love you, Patton."

"I know why you had to go so early." Patton sat up and spoke clearly. "God put one of his angels on Earth by accident. He needed you back."
