A Thousand Words (Min Yoongi x OC)

Date Day

**February 14th**

Mariana woke up around 8:00 the next morning to her phone buzzing with Suga's message tone. She rolled over and flopped her hand onto her phone and picked it up to check the message. She blinded herself with the phone's fifteen percent battery warning before she could get the brightness turned down. Once she did, she found her charger and immediately plugged in her phone, then proceeded to check the message from Suga.

From Min Suga:
Good morning Jagiya! I have the day off today, and I know you don't have classes on Saturdays. So we're going out on a date. Dress warm.

From Mariana:
😁 Okay. What time?

From Min Suga:
Can you be ready in about an hour? I'll pick you up, and we'll grab breakfast somewhere.🥩🍲🥡

From Mariana:
😄 I will never say no to food. I'll be ready.

From Min Suga:
Perfect! I'm snatching the bathroom whenever Jungkook decides to finish up and then I'll head to you.

From Mariana:
I'll be here!

From Min Suga:
You'd better.

From Mariana:
😲 I would never ditch a date! Especially not one with Min Yoongi.

From Min Suga:
We've been dating for almost four months, I hope you wouldn't start ditching me now...

From Mariana:
I promise I would never!

From Mariana:
Hope to die, and stick a needle in my eye. 😋

Suga just stared at his phone in confusion for a moment.

From Min Suga:
🤨....That is such a weird saying....please don't do either of those....

From Mariana:
Don't worry, I have no intentions to.

From Min Suga:
Good. Now go get ready. Jungkook is out, and I am running in.

From Mariana:
Ok. See you soon oppa!
Mariana replied before she set her phone back on the bedside table to charge more while she quickly got out of bed and grabbed her clothes to run through the shower.

Suga couldn't help but smirk at that message. He always loved hearing her call him oppa, even more so because she doesn't use it all the time. It's not like Mariana never calls him oppa, but she was definitely selective about it.

Suga grabbed his clothes and literally ran into the bathroom, cutting right in front of Hoseok as he was going into the bathroom. "Too slow!" Suga exclaimed and closed the door behind him.

"Really?" Hoseok groaned.

"I'm picking up Ana and taking her out for breakfast!" Suga announced through the door as he hurried to get ready.

Hoseok sighed. "You're lucky I like your girlfriend!" He said and headed back to his bedroom to wait on Yoongi.

Suga knocked on Mariana's door, but she didn't open it for him like she normally did. Instead his phone rang with her message tone, prompting Suga to pull out his phone and check the message.

From Ana:
Door's unlocked. I'm finishing getting dressed. Come on in and have a seat, I'll be done in a few minutes.

Suga nodded at the message before putting his phone back into his pocket and letting himself in.

He pushed the door closed with his foot, being careful of the handful of flowers he had bought for Mariana at a street vendor on his way over. It was something so simple, but it always put a shining smile on Mariana's face with the cutest shade of pink on her cheeks, and Suga loved seeing her light up like that.

"Hi Jagiya!" He said loud enough that Mariana would hear him from her bedroom once he had his mask pulled down under his chin.

"Hi!" She happily replied from the other side of her bedroom door, in the connected bathroom.

"I got you something." He said, hoping to coax her to hurry up so he could see her as he hid the flowers behind his back.

"Whatdya get me?" She curiously asked.

Mariana also had a tendency to say random phrases and words in English whenever she was around any of the guys. It was her way of quizzing their English knowledge and they all had fun with it. Especially when they were all together and they'd playfully argue about who was most right about what she was saying.

"Do I need to translate?" Mariana asked him with an amused smile after a quiet minute from Suga.

"I'm thinking!" Suga said with a little chuckle.

"I'm not coming out until you guess." Mariana said in amusement as she put away her cooled flat iron and pulled some of her straightened hair in front of her shoulders.

"What did you get me?" Suga answered.

Mariana opened her bathroom door and walked through the short hallway after her bedroom and over to Suga. "Yeah." She happily confirmed with a smile as Suga immediately looked her up and down.

Mariana was in her favorite skin tight, dark wash skinny jeans, black knock off army boots, with a comfortable graphic dark blue long sleeved t-shirt from her school's store.

"Those pants are going to be the death of me..." Suga mumbled to himself with a content sigh.

Mariana bit her lips together as she looked to the floor for a moment and then back up to Suga, stopping in front of him.

Suga pulled the flowers out from behind him and gave them to Mariana. "Surprise." He said with a smile.

"Yoongi." Mariana cooed with a smile as she took the flowers from him. "These are beautiful. Thank you." She told him before kissing him and going to find a vase.

Suga followed Mariana, wrapping his arm around her waist and standing to the side of her as she situated the flowers in a vase next to her sink. She filled the vase with water once she had the flowers arranged the way she wanted and turned around. Suga's hand gently fell from Mariana's hip as she walked over to one of her cube sectioned bookcases on either side of her balcony doors and put the flowers in one of the empty cubes.

"Perfect." Mariana said with a smile as she stepped back and looked at the flowers beautifully filling the cube space. She turned around to face Suga. "Thank you. You're so sweet."

"Like sugar." He said with a smile, his accent making 'sugar' sound almost exactly like 'Suga.'

Mariana couldn't help but chuckle. "You're adorable. Ready for breakfast? Because I am starving."

"Let's go then. We can't let you starve." Suga said with a smile as he grabbed Mariana's hand and laced his fingers together with hers.

Suga pulled up his face mask with his free hand while Mariana situated hers onto her face, keeping Suga's hand in hers before they headed out for breakfast.
