A Thousand Words (Min Yoongi x OC)

Even Ground

**October 8th**

"Ana, please, let me in." Suga pleaded as he leaned his hands against the door.

The photoshoot today went off without a hitch. It was after Mariana and Yoongi went out to dinner and started heading home that tensions arose.

Mariana didn't respond to Yoongi's shouts. She just slid to the floor, with her back to the inside of her front door in defeat as silent tears started to well in her eyes.
'Jimin, please be right. Please let this be just a phase...' She pleaded in her thoughts.

She had come clean to Jimin about what was happening with Yoongi, and then what it led to with Namjoon. She even talked to him about her conversation with Seon. Her original plan was to take Seon's advice and talk to Yoongi tonight after dinner, but Yoongi had made a snide comment about her not hanging out with him enough during the shoot, and it was enough to push Mariana over the edge.

Suga had let his jealously slip yet again after promising Mariana for the umpteenth time that he'd stop being jealous over petty things. He had been so jealous lately, and Mariana wasn't sure where it was coming from. Even when she was with Jimin, Suga wanted to know exactly what they did. It was so overbearing from when they first started dating.

"Mariana, please. I know you're there." Suga practically begged as he rested his forehead against the door.

Mariana didn't move from her spot on the floor as she used the sleeve of her black cardigan to silently wipe the makeup tears from under her eyes. A moment of silence passed before she heard the muffled thud of Suga's back against the door next to her on the other side of the whitewashed 6-panel door.

Suga propped his head back against the door, and started singing.

"But you're my everything

Forgive me."

He was just loud enough for Mariana to make out the rhythm of one of her favorite songs. He was going to move to the next verse when he suddenly flopped backward, looking up at the ceiling of Mariana's walkway area.

"Don't leave the door open." She bluntly stated to him without looking at him before walking over to the couch, and sitting down with her arms crossed over her chest.

Suga rolled over and quickly stood up, pulling his face mask down past his chin as he closed the door with his other hand. He quickly stripped his shoes off and left them at the door before walking over to Mariana, sitting on his knees on the floor in front of her, forcing Mariana to look at him.

"Ana." Yoongi started as he grabbed her hands and held them in her lap. He craned his head to the side a bit, forcing Mariana's eyes to meet his. "I'm so sorry. I let my jealously get the better of me... again. I hurt you again, and that was never my intention. I just....I've never felt so strongly for anyone before like I feel for you..... Today, I guess it was the way you were looking at Namjoon, and he was looking at you, Jimin told me I was being crazy, and I think I knew that, but I lost control."

"If you thought I was looking at Namjoon differently, then you should see the way I look at you when you're not looking." Mariana pointed out.

"I know I screwed up. Made you mad. But...please. Can you forgive me?"

Mariana was silent for a moment. 'So, do I still talk to him about Namjoon the other night, or do I save it for another day?'

Payton's advice flashed through her mind. 'If you don't come clean before he can find out, and you know he WILL, it's just going to make things way worse.'
