[A/N: Normally I avoid writting large time jumps, but I've spent MONTHS and countless drafts unsuccessfully avoiding a time jump. So, I'm really sorry, but I'm breaking my own rules in this chapter. I hope you'll still enjoy the story all the same!]

*about 8 1/2 weeks later*

December 2nd

Mariana and Jimin were sitting on her couch, settling in for their weekly movie night. It was a slow progression at first, but Yoongi was finally back to daily texts or video calls with Mariana even if it was just to exist together while they worked on their own projects. Yoongi had even started meeting Mariana at her work to join her for her lunch break sometimes. Everything finally seemed to be right in the world as far as their relationship was concerned, and it basically forced Namjoon to take a step back, made him laid back again where Mariana was concerned.

Jimin gently plopped onto Mariana's couch next to her, his free arm lying across the back of the couch, his other hand setting a bowl of popcorn in their lap. "Decided on a movie yet?" He asked as Mariana clicked the PlayStation remote through option after option.

"No. I know that I want a funny movie though."

"Ughhhh! Pick one already!" He teasingly groaned and plopped his head backwards.

"Oh, don't be so dramatic. This is what you get for actually letting me choose the movie for once." She pointed out with a little smile.

"Then I guess this is the only time you get to pick." He continued teasing her.

Mariana just rolled her eyes a bit with an amused smile.

"So. How have you been filling your free time now that you don't have to worry about school for the time being?"

"Picking up some more hours at work, mostly. I started watching Hwarang again. Oh! I picked up an old hobby too." Mariana happily stated without taking her eyes off of the TV screen.

"Yeah? Are you going to tell me what it is?"

"I don't know. You threatened to take away my movie picking privileges..." She joked with a tilt of her head and a slight shrug of her shoulders.

"Pleeeeeeease tell meeeeeeee." Jimin whined with a smile as he moved the popcorn bowl before leaning over onto Mariana, bending her sideways until she was pinned laying on her side under him.

"Jimin! Get off!" She laughed out and pushed against his chest with her upper arm.

"Tell me about your hobby." He practically demanded and laid more of his weight onto her.

Mariana bargained. "If I show you, will you stop squishing me?"

"Yes." He replied bluntly with a happy tone.

"Get off of me, and I'll go get it." Mariana caved with a little smile in her tone.

Jimin immediately sat back up, allowing Mariana to hand him the remote, and go into her bedroom for a moment.

Jimin could hear some clicking noises, assuming that she was opening some sort of hard case.

Mariana came back out with a beautiful dark chestnut colored violin, the wood grain showing up as black bendy lines.

"Ohhh, that's pretty."

"I love this coloring. And I've loved playing again. I used to play in middle school and highschool, but stopped when I started moving all over the world." Mariana said as she sat back down on her spot on the couch, letting Jimin hold the violin.

"Does that mean you're planning on staying here?" Jimin asked, a hopeful glow starting in his eyes.

"I'd love to. But I don't know if I can with this internship program. I'd definitely come back at the first opportunity." She explained.

"Well, you still have some time to think about it. Have you told Yoongi about the violin yet? He'll love this."

"I haven't yet. I want to surprise him, but I don't know what song to do yet. Plus, I'm not that good. I've only had it a couple of weeks."

"That doesn't mean you can't pick a goal song yet. What are you thinking? One of our songs? One of his songs? Other?"

Mariana smiled at his enthusiasm. "Either one of his songs, or one of your songs as a group."

"That's a long list." Jimin said and took a deep breath like he was preparing to list off every single one of their songs.

Mariana covered his mouth with a hand as she hid an amused smile. "No,no,no. It's okay, I know all of your songs." She started with a smile. "Maybe Butterfly or Seesaw? Life Goes On? I don't know. They're all pretty complicated in their own ways." Mariana thought out loud, taking back the instrument as Jimin handed it to her.

"Hey you'll find something. And If not, you'll make it up as you go." Jimin encouraged her with a smile.

Mariana's eyebrows flicked up. "You mean write my own song? Yeah, that's not gonna happen." She said with an amused scoff.

"Oh come on. I'd help you." Jimin egged on.

"You know I don't sing in front of people, Jimin. Let alone something that I create, while trying to play a violin, which is a feat in itself."

"Playing the violin?"

"Singing while playing the violin. Though, at the moment playing is its own feat too." She clarified.

"Yet you have no problem speaking in front of thousands of people for almost an hour at your school functions...." Jimin pointed out.

"Speaking and singing are two very different things, and I did not sign up for that. Believe it or not, I wasn't aiming for valedictorian, nor did I realize that basically made me the face of my class." She retorted.

"Come on, Ana. I've even been working on a song of my own. You could help."

Mariana's eyes widened as she shook her head. "No. No way."

"Why not?" Jimin asked with a little whine.

"Wayyy too much pressure."

"All I need is the instrumentals, I already have the lyrics figured out."

Marianna's brow furrowed. "I only know like five basic notes..." She stated in exasperation.

"Perfect! Come on Anna, this is a great excuse for you to get more practice so you can surprise Yoongi-hyung. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese?"

"Doesn't Jin know how to play guitar? Why haven't you asked him if all you need is instrumental?"

"Because Jin isn't my practically-sister trying to impress her musically inclined boyfriend."

Mariana gently set the violin on the coffee table and crossed her arms over her chest and pouted a bit at Jimin.

Jimin just crossed his arms and mimicked her expression.

"You're not going to drop this until I agree to help you, are you?"

"Nope."

Mariana sighed as she dropped her arms. "Fine. I'll help."

"Ha! I win!" Jimin smiled out as he enthusiastically put his arms in the air.

"Don't make me regret caving in to you..."

"Right, sorry." Jimin said and brought up his phone, bringing up what he had for his lyrics, wasting no time on getting the ball rolling.
"This is what I have so far. We can try to work on it a little now, or continue with movie night as planned." He offered.

"I vote movie night. It'll give me some time to learn some more notes.

"Sounds good." Jimin confirmed, picked up the PlayStation remote and shuffled Mariana's "to watch" playlist, letting whatever the shuffle picked play for their movie night.
