"Garnet"
I knocked at the temple door in the middle of the night. I can't sit in silence anymore. I want to ask.
The door opens and Garnet steps out of their bubble room.
"Yes Wolfie?"
"I want....I want to talk about fusion. A-and...Starstone."
She seems shocked but smiles, closing the temple and walking to sit on the sofa. She pats the space next to her and smiles.
I sit there, hesitantly.
"Starstone. She is a new person. We are her and she is us."
Her words confuse me. How does that Work? When I fused before...I felt like it was two gems controlling one body...I didn't think about it that way...
"Oh...I never realised."
We sit in silence and I break it once more.
"So...Ruby and Sapphire fuse for...love? Is that the word?"
"Yes. Have you ever been in love?"
"I'm...not sure."
She chuckles.
"Maybe you'll fall in love soon."
I blush and turn to her
"You aren't usi-"
"Future vision? I tried. But you have so many different paths...It's hard to tell."
She gets up.
"If that's all you need, I'll be heading out for a mission."
"Wait! It...It gets lonely sitting here by myself..."
She smiles.
"Steven was right."
