This is a Male Swordsman Reader x Emerald requested by Reborncargo.

Emerald's POV

Leaves and twigs brushed against me as we traveled deeper and deeper into the forest.

Mercury: "Why the hell are we in this forest again?" He asked agitated.

Emerald: "Cinder said that a powerful swordsman lived deep in this forest and she wants us to recruit him for Salem's army." I told him as we finally entered a clearing.

A lone house sat in the middle of the clearing with a pond and tree off to the side. A man sat at the edge of the pond while looking across it. We carefully approached him.

Man: "I know you are there." He said without turning around. My hands hovered over my weapons as we stood ready. "What business do you have with me?"

Emerald: "My Mistress has sent us to recruit you for our cause. Your strength would be greatly appreciated." I told him as he let out a sigh.

Man: "Your words are sweet, but hollow." He said which worried me. He stood and turned to look at us. His hair was (h/c) and (h/l). A murasama hung from his side in a sheath. The (e/c) orbs that were his eyes pierced my very being. You could feel his power just by standing in his presence.

Mercury: "Listen we don't want any trouble. We just want you to join us." He said with a nervous tone of voice.

Man: "Then you will leave at once." He said as his hand carefully rested at the hilt of his blade. If I didn't think of something fast then Mercury and I were gonna be killed.

Emerald: "The wind may howl, but the mountain will never bow." I told him as I took out my weapons and readied myself. At first his eyes grew wide, but soon returned to normal. He drew his murasama from the sheath and took a stance as Mercury stood back.

Man: "Then let me see how tall you stand mountain." He said.

Third Person POV

The man and Emerald circled one another with weapons drawn. The wind swayed the tree and caused a leaf to come loose from the branch. It floated softly to the ground inbetween the two as they eyed each other down. Hearts raced and breaths were drawn. With once final float the leaf touched the ground and both of them sprung forward.

Sparks flew as the blades of both weapons collided. Emerald pushed him back and swung her weapons in opposite directions towards him. The man ducked under them and swung upwards with lighting speed. Emerald was barely able to blocked them, but was knocked back a few feet.

Before she regained her composure the man was only a few inches away from her. He swung his sword towards her. She slammed her weapons downwards which blocked the attack. She hooked her blades around his weapon and pulled herself towards him. She headbutted him which caused him to flinch.

While the man was stunned she took this time to attack. She swung at his head which the man barely blocked with his blade. The man regain his composure and blocked her incoming attacks. All her could do was defend against her onslaught of attacks.

Emerald was starting to grow fatigue from her relentless attacking which meant she would loose the upper hand in the fight. She had to end it quickly before she ended up dead. She hooked her blades around his weapon in opposite directions and pulled as hard as she could.

The mans weapon flew out of his hand and emplanted itself into the ground a few feet away from them. She pointed her weapons at the man as she breathes in heavy breaths of air. The man looked at her with a smile.

Man: "Seems the mountain stands and the howling wind fades." He said as he got up. Emerald holstered her weapons as the man grabbed his. "What is you name?" He asked her.
