Once Wilford finished I was speachless, the man had such a way with words, I guess that's the case if you're a world famous reporter. My vision became blurry and I realized that I was crying, Wilford had concern clearly written on his face as he wiped the falling tears from my cheeks. Knowing him, an apology was going to come out that mouth if I don't say anything, so I hugged him as well as I could with the stick shift between us

"Thank you... so much," I mumbled into his shirt

I was taken aback by the sudden hug that it took a moment to register, not a second later I hugged back with just as much feeling "Y-you're... welcome..."

The hug seemed to last forever, we didn't move, we didn't stop; We just enjoyed the this moment we shared. But of course, it was just a moment.

Simultaneously we pulled away, and with a nervous cough I said, "We should probably get inside..." A flash of realization came across their face "R-right... the rest of the date"

Conveniently, when Wilford had stopped earlier it was because we were already parked.

We got out of the car and made our way into the building, it looked like a club. Being known for his dapper style, it was strange that Wilford had brought us here "I know it doesn't seem like much, but trust me, this place is great," he said with a grin. I trusted his judgment and let him drag me into the building.

As soon as we walked in my eyes were bombarded with flashing club lights and a crowd of dancers, the music that blasted through the building was some classic disco, now I think I understand why Wilford liked this place. I faintly heard his voice as he pulled me closer to him before navigating us towards the bar, I figured out what he had said earlier 'Let's get some drinks!'

Surprisingly, the bar wasn't that crowded and we were immediately spotted by the bartender "Hey there,Wil!"

I guess Wilford's a regular here

"I'll have the usual, Dave. And my date here will have a Long Island Iced Tea!" I blushed when he said 'date' before turning to him with a confused look once he had finished ordering, seeming to understand my silent question, he answered, "You don't seem like the drinking type, so I got you something sweet and easy, but it still has some alcohol in it" I nodded in understanding "Thanks" Soon after, our drinks came; A Martini and a Long Island Iced Tea

We thanked the bartender before I was dragged away, yet again by Wilford, struggling to not spill my drink as we weaved through the crowd. Finally, we reached an empty table in the corner of the club, this wasn't much of a surprise, seeing how the bar was near empty

"You know, I didn't think you were the type to go to clubs," I sipped my Iced Tea "Oh, this is good!" Wilford chuckled before taking a sip from his drink "There's a lot of things you don't know about me, dear"
