24: Focus Of The Night

"Dark?"

My eyes widened a fraction and I felt everyone's attention go from Y/N to me. It̶̨ m̢ad̴̀͜e͜͝ Da̴m͢i̢e͘͝n͠͞ ̵́n͏̢͞ȩ̸͠r҉̢v̵̨o̵̕u̧͘ş,͜ ̛́͠C̢e̵̢͟l͟͠i̢̕͢ņ̨́e ͟͏w̧̧̡as̀͠ t҉̕r̴͏͢y͡í̡̨nģ̀ ̷t͞o ̨͘c̕̕͜a̶͝l̵̡m ̡h̵͠į͞͝m͞ ͝dơẁ̛͝n̨̡, I tried to keep the calm facade. But the usual aura that surrounded me became more sporadic, and the ringing that was usually tolerable became louder and painful. Everyone let out a small cry of pain, and then I saw Y/N flinch. I took a couple deep breaths to calm myself down

Breathe in 1, 2, 3, breathe out...

I politely smiled and nodded "Hello, Y/N" They looked at me like I had changed into a different person, understandable since I usually don't act this way with them. It was quiet, the tension in the air was obvious to everyone. Suddenly a loud clap broke the deafening silence, Ash smiled brightly "Hurry up and sit already you two! I'm dying to eat what Chef's made"

"Ah... Right, my apologies! Shall we, Y/N?" Wilford spoke "Uh, yeah..," Y/N nervously replied

Oh thank you, Ash!

Dinner went off with a rocky start but after a few minutes, everyone returned to their usual selves. But still, the topic of the night was Y/N

Dinner was pretty fun! Though I was anxious about everyone being focused on me, their welcoming personalities made it easier for me to sorta open up. Looks like I found myself some new friends!

Anyways! Everyone had finished eating and I offered to help wash the dishes, but Dark replied, "Nonsense Y/N, you're our guest! Besides, it's Bing's turn to clean the dishes" The orange-themed robot groaned "Dang it!" I watched him trudge to the kitchen and held back a giggle. Dark then cleared his throat "...And, I believe you wanted to talk?"

Hearing him speak so formally reminded me of the questions I had all throughout dinner, so I nodded and we made our way to the backyard. Once Dark made sure that we were out of earshot, I immediately asked, "What's with the formality, sir Dark?" He rolled his eyes "Unlike you, I want to be respected by my siblings" I tilted my head and pouted "Where's the fun in that?" After a few seconds of silence we laughed

"Alright mister Darkiplier, let's get back inside before your brothers get suspicious," I said with a smirk before walking back inside

When I didn't here another set of footsteps behind me, I turned to see Dark staring at me "What's up, Dark?" He shook his head "It's nothing. Just admiring the view, beautiful isn't it?" I looked up at the night sky and smiled "Yeah" I watched the stars for a few more seconds before motioning Dark to walk inside with me

"Alright mister Darkiplier, let's get back inside before your brothers get suspicious" I watched  Y/N walk back inside, and said under my breath, "And what's wrong with that?"
