Birthday Time

Yvette's POV cont.
Fu and I continued to dance together and have a good time while doing so. I was still watching Devante and Left-Eye dancing with Zhen. They looked like they were having a good time. The music had suddenly stopped and the dj said, "Alright everybody. It's time to celebrate the birthday girl." Everybody started to walk away. I was lost and confused. I saw Left-Eye walking away while holding Zhen. Devante had followed right behind them. Fu was walking away too. "Where is everyone going to?", I asked. "To a magical world.", Fu said. Well that really didn't answer my question but alright. I didn't bother to ask anymore questions after that so I walked silently. As we were walking, I saw this beautiful bloody red door and it had a sign that said Birthday Room in black. Whoever planned this, I gotta pay them back. The door opened and we all went inside the door. As soon as I came into the door, I looked around while still walking. The room was white and had hints of light brown which is Devante's favorite color.

Everyone saw the white chairs and stopped talking. Silence had finally filled in the room. I can finally get a chance to think and breathe. I knew that the room was quiet for about 10-15 mins. The lights were now dim. The room was now looking like an outdoor restaurant. I looked around to see Zhen, Left-Eye and Devante but I didn't see them. I got nervous and my mommy mode was full alert. I was panicking that I lost my one and only child. I looked around, over and in between the crowd and I didn't see her or them at all. Fu grabbed my hand and said, "Calm down. Zhen is okay and fine. Stop worrying. You're gonna make yourself have a stroke." "How do you know that for sure? She might be somewhere in this mansion.", I said. Fu opened his mouth to say something but a noise interrupted him. It was glass clanking. Someone in this room was clanking glass. Everyone was trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. Everyone heard footsteps but we couldn't tell where they were coming from. The lights managed to get back lighter and we saw Devante, Left-Eye and Zhen with the rest of the Jodeci members. haha. This shit aint funny. "Sorry we had to disappear on y'all like that. We just had to make sure we got everything together for the birthday girl.", Devante said. Devante looked at me after saying that. that lanky bitch had me worried about my baby. I oughta kick his ass for that. "We got the cake, tables, drinks and everything else for y'all but before we get to the food, I wanna sing to birthday girl.", Devante said while looking at Zhen. "Yall come on up and let's sing to Zhen.", Left-Eye said. Everyone started walking up to the table that had the birthday cake for Zhen. I walked up to the front just to see everything up close and personal. The birthday cake was a beautiful purple castle with princesses on it and it had cupcakes at the bottom.

Damn. Devante went all out for my baby. I definitely need to pay him back. After we all got closer, everybody started to sing happy birthday to Zhen. Everybody's voices was so in tune with each others. Kci, Jojo, Dalvin and Devante's were singing like they did in their song, Jodecial Hotline.

Mariah Carey was singing like she did in Honey and Aaliyah was singing like she was in The One I Gave My Heart To. It was just so beautiful. After the singing ended, I looked at Zhen and said, "Go ahead and make a wish". She just looked at me and said, " Umm.... I don't know what to wish for". "Why don't you know?", I asked her. " Well cuz everything I want is already here.", Zhen said. When she said that, i just looked at her at awe of her response. Her wish was fulfilled by me and exceeded by Devante. "Well just make me a wish for somebody that you care about then.", I said. " Okay mom.", Zhen said. With that, she thought hard and long about the wish and she blew all of her candles out. Everyone cheered for Zhen. I felt someone grab my hand and I turned around and it was Fu. "Where were you?", I asked him. " I was five people behind you. I see you left to get a better view without me though.", Fu said. "Sorry bout that. Mommy mode came out.", I said. " It's alright.", Fu said. I looked around and i was seeing people eating cake, dancing, drinking and just laughing. I saw Devante and Zhen together sitting at a table with Left-Eye again. "Hey can you hold on for a minute? I'm just gonna be over there for a while?", I asked Fu. Fu looked over to see what I was looking at and said, "Go ahead. I'll be with your nephews and sister". I swear everytime Fu is with my nephews (Ocelean has 3 older brothers. Trey, Malachi and Micah. Micah and Malachi are fraternal twins) they're either playing cards or dominoes. I walked over to where Left-Eye, Zhen and Devante were. They all looked at me when I made it to their table. "Mommy, I need to tell you what I made my wish on!", Zhen said. " But i have to whisper it to you", she added. I bended over to her height and lended her my ear. "What did you wished for?", I whispered. She came to my ear and whispered, "I wished for Devante to be alone and sad". Wow. That's a deep ass wish. " Is that you're still with him?", I asked her. "Yes ma'am and plus he's funny and fun.", Zhen said. Awww. my baby is so sweet. Devante is definitely her boyfriend for this lol. " Is that why Left-Eye is still with him too?", i asked her. "No. She said her feet were hurting from walking in those long fancy shoes. She said when they stop hurting she'll be back on feet dancing.", Zhen said. After she said, Left-Eye got up real fast and went to the dancefloor. Damn Lisa. So I took the opportunity to sit my big ass on a chair. I looked at Devante and he just looked sad as hell. Zhen walked to where Devante was sitting (he wasn't that damn far from my side of the table) and kissed him on the cheek and said, "Thank you for everything, Devante. I appreciate all of the stuff you did for me." After that, she hugged him. I could tell by that kiss on the cheek and hug that Devante was actually feeling better and happy. "Well I told your mom that I would do anything for you to make your birthday special.", Devante said smiling and looking at me. I smiled right back at him. I knew that smile from anywhere. He finna say some slick shit in a minute. " And you did a wonderful job at it. Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna eat some cupcakes.", Zhen said. After she said that, she walked off to where she said she was gonna do. I kept looking at Devante while smirking at him. "What?", Devante said. "You know she made a wish for you right?", I said. " No, ion know that. You must've told her to do that?", Devante said. "Nope. That was all her.", I said. " That lil kiss and hug definitely confirms it.", i said. "Confirms what? That women of all ages will love me?", he said. See this is that slick shit i was talking about earlier. " No nigga. That Zhen is your girlfriend and you her boyfriend.", I said. He gave me a look and said, "I'll say maybe in 20 something years when she's grown yeah but as of now i wouldn't say that. She's just my little princess who's gonna grow into a queen besides Dyana.", Devante said. "Awwww. You know this is what really matters to women. Men being sensitive and caring to kids.", I said. " Yvette, you, Zhen and  Dyana are probably the only women I will always have love for and will do anything for.", Devante said. "Damn did you forget about yo momma?", I asked. Devante looked shocked and laughed. " Damnnnn you right. I forgot all about her. Shit I'll add her on the list but other than that I don't think there's anybody else.", he said. "Don't worry there'll be more people, you just got wait."

Heyyyyyyyy yalll!!! Sorry that I haven't been active on Wattpad or updating the story but senior year is dragging my fat ass already. Then these damn colleges tryna get a bitch and I'm tryna bump my ACT score. I just be so tired and flabbergasted at the work I gotta do.
