Few hours later El and Max arrived. Jake and I went outside to greet them.

She gets out of the car and runs up to me and she hugs me tight.

"Thank goodness."

I hugged her back.

"You are really glad to see me."

She puts her hands on my shoulders and shakes me.

"Ok... Stop doing that."

She lets me go and sigh disappointed.

"I really need your help."

I looked over at Max and I can see he is concerned. And I rub my shoulders.

"I hate it when you do that."

"I'm sorry. I'm a nerve wreck."

I see Max nods.

"I can see that. So why are you so nervous?"

"Jen this is important to me. If I screw this up I won't get another chance. Not like this."

"But El you got this."

"I can't sing the song like you did."

"Then don't sing it like me. Put your own twist to it. You're the one who always told me that."

"But you did it so well."

"Ok. We'll figure this out. Lets go inside."

"Hi Max." I said and hugged him.

"Hi."

"El freak out on me first."

"Only because I wasn't around her." I chuckled.

He smiles a bit.

"Yeah."

"Lets go inside and meet my parents." Jake says.

We all went inside and I introduced El and Max to Jake's dad, Chad and Jake's brother first. Then El and I went to the kitchen where Natalie and Marissa was busy making dinner.

Natalie turns around and she smiles.

"Is this your sister?"

"Yes. El this is Natalie Jake's mom and you know Marissa. Natalie this is Eleanor. My sister."

They shook hands and smiled.

"Nice to meet you Mrs. Warner. And hi Marissa."

"You can call me Natalie. Nice to meet you Eleanor."

"You can just call me El. Much easier."

"How are you El?" Marissa asks.

"I've been better. I'm over stressed with the competition. It's just very important to me."

"I'm sure everything will work out."

"I hope so."

"Jen told me a lot about you. She adores you."

"Thanks. I sure hope she does."

Natalie chuckles and El just smiles.

"Dinner will be ready in an hour. You can use the study room next to the living room. Jen let Jake show you where it is."

"Thank you Natalie." I nod and El and I left.

Jake showed us to the study room his mom told us to go to and Max followed too. We went inside.

"Should Max and I leave?"

"You can stay."

Jake nods and he closes the door.
