I take the stand

"Good morning Ms. Steele."

"Ms. Steele? Since when do you call me Ms. Steele?"

"I'm trying to be professional."

"Professional my ass."

"Pretty good one too."

"Hey. Watch it Ethan."

"I better before you kick my ass too. Right?"

"Haha very funny." I started laughing for real. "Ok that was pretty funny."

He laughs.

"I never knew you had a nice side."

"And I never knew you could be so sassy."

"Yeah. So how are things with you and Carmel?"

"Haven't you heard?"

"Heard what?"

"She and Toby are a thing now. They are dating."

"What?"

"You didn't know?"

"No. He didn't tell me."

"But yeah it's my fault. I pushed her right in his arms. I don't even know why I cheated. But it was a mistake. Now it's too late to fix it."

"I'm sorry."

"It's ok. I do have someone in eye."

"Oh. Are you at least going to help raising the baby?"

"Yes. I'm even paying her doctors appointments."

"That is nice of you. So who do  you have an eye on?"

"You."

"What?"

"I'm kidding." He laughs.

"Goodness. You almost gave me a heart attack."

"I just wanted to see how you would react. But you know her."

"Oh really?"

"She's one of your friends."

"Who?"

"Olivia."

"Ooh. Really?"

"Yes. But she doesn't trust me. So I don't think it's going anywhere."

"I can talk to her if you want me to."

"You will do that?"

"Yeah. She will listen to me."

"Thank you."

"No problem. Besides she likes the bad boys."

"You think I'm a bad boy?"

"Yeah."

"I'm not a bad boy. Lets go through this."

"Ok."

We prepared and it was almost 9.

"Are you ready for this?"

I just nod. 

"See you inside."

"Ok."

El and everyone comes in.

"So what is this I hear about you going to L.A. and going to do a Trauma internship?"

"Jake told you?" I smiled at El.

"He did. Congrats sis."

She hugs me.

"I'm so happy for you and so proud of you."
