Chapter 24.

I wake up in a bed.

I try to prop myself up but my wrists hurt.

I glance down and see purple spots going up and down my arms.

Last night comes back in flashes.

Nothing really happened because Niall had accidentally walked in and stopped anything before it could really start.

A groan sounds from my right and I look to see Luke. At the moment, I want to be as far away from him as possible.

I quickly jump out of bed and hustle to put on some clothes.

"Hey Maybel," Luke's voice greets, heavy with sleep.

I look at him with terrified eyes. He just gives me a little grin, oblivious to my new fear.

I struggle into some skinny jeans and I throw on a sweatshirt.

"You look good this morning," Luke compliments as he rubs his eyes.

I give him a small smile and a curt nod and walk out of the room.

Louis finds me and asks, "can we practice our duet?"

I smile and nod and follow him to the waiting piano.

We decide to play River Flows in You by Yiruma. It's a very pretty song. Louis is going to play the bottom part and I'm playing the top part.

We get through the first page before Harry starts clapping.

"Shut up mate. We aren't finished you idiot," Louis rolls his eyes.

"I'm being supportive," Harry says with a smirk.

"I feel a joke coming on," Ashton mumbles from beside Harry.

"I'm being supportive, like a bra," Harry wiggles his eyebrows as everyone else groans at his dumb joke.

"That was horrible," Louis says. "Even for you, and that's saying something."

"Guys! I made breakfast," Julia calls from the kitchen.

As soon as we're all settled at the table, Niall starts to talk.

"Today we're going out," he announces.

"Where?" Diamond asks.

"I don't know," Niall shrugs. "But we'll find someplace."

Julia places food in front of us and sits down.

"I'll go with you," Calum says as he eats. "I need to get out a bit."

"If Calum's going, I'm going," Payton states matter of factly.

"If Payton is going, I'll go," Diamond decides.

"That means I'm going too," Michael sticks his fork in the air.

Ashton rolls his eyes. "That means I have to go to babysit you."

"We'll go, I guess," Zayn says, pointing to himself, Harry, Liam, and Louis.

"I'm going too," Julia says as she looks lovingly at Niall.

"Luke?" Niall asks with a raised eyebrow. "Maybel?"

I shake my head. I don't feel like going out.

"She's staying so I'm staying," Luke says with a positive nod.

I mentally puke. I don't want to be alone with him.

"It's settled then," Niall decides and begins to shovel food into his mouth.
