Night came. Naibalita na rin namin kina Alice at
Faye ang nangyari. They were all shocked at first pero gaya namin eh si RB pa rin ang inisip nila sa bandang huli. Base na rin sa sinabi sa 'kin ni Professor Romeus ay sinalinan na ng dugo si RB sa ospital. Baka i-release na rin siya kinabukasan.
At an exact eight in the evening someone knocked in my room's door. Pagbukas ko ay si Professor Evanesca ang bumungad sa 'kin.
"A very pleasant evening to you, my dear boy. Come. We have to talk about some things," she said.
Sumunod na lang ako sa kanya pababa ng dorm namin. Naglakad-lakad lang kami sa mga kalsada sa loob ng Emerald. The whole school is alive with many students walking around. May ilan ring clubs ang nasa grounds. Some other students spent time in the parks inside the school.
"Rubio is well and recovering. Nasalinan na siya ng dugo. Gregor also agreed to counsel him again. Bukas ko na lang siya kakausapin tungkol sa mga ginawa niya," pagsisimula ni Professor Evanesca.
"Ano po ba ang mangyayari sa kanya? Hahayaan niyo pa po ba siyang tumuloy sa bahay nila?" tanong ko.
"No. Whether he likes it or not, I will transfer him to our dormitories. At kapag bakasyon ay doon siya tutuloy sa bahay ko. He broke my trust. From now on I will keep a close eye on him. "I took Rubio under my custody because I am the only close relative that he has. Napamahal na rin naman sa 'kin ang batang iyon. Napatitig na lang ako sa kanya.
"Do you love Rubio?" the headmistress asked all of a sudden.
I felt my cheeks go hot.
"Uh... no. I'm sorry but I see him only as a friend. He's special to me, of course. I don't want to see him suffering. Mahalaga po sa 'kin si RB pero hindi ko pa po masasabi na pagmamahal na 'tong nararamdaman ko sa kanya," sagot ko.
The headmistress smiled at me. "I know you're telling me the truth. But I know that Rubio loves you very much. Well... probably he's just deeply infatuated to you because of your treatment to him-"
"Um, I basically treated him sourly most of the time," I said sheepishly.
The headmistress laughed a bit.
